Tzuyu's POV:

We finally finished planting rice. Actually, it was fun. It was a mix of being determined but at the same time playful.

Being here gives me a time for healing since I keep forgetting all of my problems. All of them washed away whenever nature surrounds me. I have gained another set of memories before I could go back and do my job again.

"The food is ready!" Sana unnie excitingly said. She's grilling meat for the six of us.

"Jal meokesseumninda!" All of us greeted as we took a big bite of our food. For dinner, we are eating meat, rice, and kimchi. It's simple, but it's very delicious. It's enough for our appetite.

Together with the grill, the campfire is placed at the center. All of us are surrounding it, creating the shape of a circle.

"How was planting?" Jun muttered as he shove a large amount of rice inside his mouth. Not one person is using eating utensils right now. We don't need that, we're here, at the countryside.

If you're wondering, we already washed out hands. Whatever.

"I enjoyed it a lot." A bright light beamed in Mina's eyes. It was full of enthusiasm. It was enough for me to understand that she's sincerely fond of it.

"Me too. Actually, it was the first time to see these cold siblings laugh a lot. I thought they're just going to freeze forever. Haha!" Mingyu laughed as he hit his own leg.

Really?

We all looked at him, without any emotions. He stopped what he's doing when he realized that all of us became silent.

"Come one, it was a joke. You guys are very serious." He convinced us to laugh but no one volunteered.

Seriously, I like this man. But his jokes are not funny. He can do better.

"I don't want to hurt you but Mingyu, that's so lame." I told him but all he did was to snicker.

"Then don't laugh." Clearly, he was annoyed. Just like a little kid, he pursed his lips. He gained a chuckle from me. I can't believe that his seriousness is more funny than his jokes.

Afterwards, all of us smiled.

"Mingyu has a point." Mina broke the silence.

"That they're going to freeze forever?"

"No, that they laugh a lot." She rolled her eyes, targeting his brother.

"The two of you appear to be cold. You're looks are very intimidating that we can't go near you because we're afraid of what will happen. Now, I saw the other side of you two. It's nice to see you smiling again." When she said her last sentence, she turned her head to Wonwoo.

We spend the night talking to each other until I'm already drown out.

"Guys, I'll sleep first." I stifled a smile and they all nodded as a response.

"Goodnight." They added.

I walked towards my small cottage that was just meters away from the campfire. I adjusted my pillow. It was the only thing I can sleep with since we have no bed.

"Shoot, I left my blanket." I was rummaging inside my bag only to find out that I didn't took it with me.

Not minding the most tragic thing that happened to me, my sleepiness couldn't bare it anymore. My feet landed me to the floor as I laid down, feeling the warmth.

"Here." I almost had a heart attack due to Mingyu. He's beside me, specifically outside my window.

"Good night. I hope you'll see me in your dreams." He cheekily smiled and left me frozen.

Can I still sleep tonight?

~

Mina's POV:

I brought my jacket and went outside my cottage. Since I'm still new to my surroundings, I can't easily adapt to their lifestyle. I can't sleep tonight so I just want to see the stars for a moment.

Walking while hugging myself, I decided to go to the campfire. It was just in front of our cottages though, it's not too near.

I'm thinking about being alone tonight but I knew I wasn't when I saw him. He's sitting in a log, in front of the fire.

"You can't sleep?" I slowly made my towards him. I was thinking about sitting right next to him but I'm not brave enough to do so.

"Don't worry, just sit beside me." He chuckled. Well, he's the one who said that, why not?

For a moment, no one dared to talk. We're casually listening to cracking sounds of the fire in front of us, as well as the ambience of the mountain. It's very peaceful.

"Can I ask you a question?" I gladly looked at him but he's just staring straight at the fire.

"What is it?" Of course, I wanted to know what it is since it was too sudden.

"Why did you leave me?"

The coldness of the wind brushed my face. I let my hair cover my face for a while, before I tuck it in behind my ear.

"I never left you. It was unintentional." I sighed. I wanted to prepare myself just in case anything bad happens after this.

"The day before I could meet you in the arcade, me and my family left Japan. We don't have enough money to pay for our rent. Even though we don't don't want to, the landlord forced us. Luckily we still have enough to go back to Korea. At that time, I was begging to stay. I tried to come up with reasons which doesn't work for them. You know, I don't want to go. I promised someone that I'll meet him. I assured him, I gave him hope, I loved him. But the world was against us that fate even gave me another path to walk on. I was guilty because I left him behind without any words."

"At first, I thought that my mission was to find father, but I was wrong, it was you."

I didn't know what I'm saying. He's still silent and he's making me feel embarrassed. For Pete's sake, are my lines cheesy?

"I'm sorry."

"But you were long forgiven." I was startled when he said that.

"I'm smart, but whenever it comes to you, I get dumb. I wasn't suppose to forgive you when I met you again, thinking that you left me. But you always smiled. You never failed my heart to go wild. I was running away but you tried to catch me which you already did."

He plastered a small smile.

"Shall I continue want I want say for the past years?" He looked away from the fire, turning his gaze towards me.

"Go ahead."

My heart was beating rapidly. Beads of sweat started to create on my palms, even though the atmosphere is cold.

"Can you be my girlfriend?"
