#25 Playing Games

Wonwoo's POV:

She looked at me, looking surprised. At this point, both of us feel the same way but I tried not to show it. I was also puzzled when I spotted her earlier.

I noticed how her eyes are already teary so slowly, I lifted her up while encircling my arms around her shoulders. When she took a glance at the people around us, fear was all I can see.

"Don't mind them." If it wasn't the anniversary of my parents, I could have scolded all the people here. Their looks are very intimidating. I should get her out of here.

I walked her out from the scene. Good thing that there are no reporters right now. If there is, we would probably see ourselves on the television again.

"Wait." We were about to go in the car when someone stopped us.

"You didn't tell me about this." Mingyu eyed her but he probably knows that it's not the right time to talk about this, so he stopped and gave her something.

"W-what's t-this?" Shakily, she asked.

"It's from me. I have extra clothes but I think you need it more than me." Tzuyu appeared beside Mingyu.

"We'll get going. Tell dad and mom that I need to go." I told Tzuyu since I can sense that Mina was close to crying.

"I'll cover up for you." Gladly, she understood the situation in just a short amount of time.

"Thanks. But, before I could go, It was Naeun." She scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"She still doesn't want to stop." She shook her head from side to side.

"I don't understand you guys?" From Mingyu's face, he was very bewildered of our conversation.

"I'll go now." I didn't mind the two because I still have something to care for, and it's Mina.

We were miles away from the party. I decided to stop since I want to check on her. She was crying silently the whole time I was driving so it was hard for me decipher what she was really doing.

Now that I have stopped the brakes, I turned to face her.

"W-why did you stop?" I noticed that her face was already free from icing. Her eyes are bloodshot red and she's still comforting herself with the coat that I gave earlier.

"You should clean yourself first. There's a gasoline station not far away from here. You can use the restroom." She didn't say anything but nodded.

When she went out from the restroom, I noticed how her looked changed. She's now wearing a green-fitted turtle neck and a pair of white jeans. It was indeed from Tzuyu.

She walked towards me and her head fell on my chest. She's crying again.

I'm completely shocked for the second time. No, third time; the hug, her appearance in the party, now this.

"I'm sorry I just need someone to lean on right now." She got away from me as she wiped her tears.

Without hesitation, I called the hospital.

"Please take care of the hospital." That's the only line I said after I turned it off completely. I never told them that it was my parent's anniversary, it's private.

"Do you want to go somewhere else?"

Tzuyu's POV:

Mingyu is still bothering me. He's asking what Wonwoo meant earlier.

"How is everything related to Naeun?" He gave up by ruffling his own hair out of frustration.

"Simple. Naeun is the one who's behind this."

Mingyu's eyes widened.

"How?"

"Well, at first, I took sharp-eyed Wonwoo as joke. But, it turns out that it happened literally. He must've saw Naeun doing the plan."

We we're on our way back to the party but I stopped him.

"W-what are you doing?" He was about to scoot out when I stopped him. I'm holding his hair and there's now way he can get out.

"You look like a mess." I gently combed his hair by my fingers. He's tall, but I can reach him.

A thunder occured in my chest. Is that even possible? Maybe. Maybe it happens when you're with someone you like.

"Where have you been?" Mom distracted us. Immediately, both of us stopped what we're doing and acted natural as much as we can.

"Nowhere." I retorted.

"Where is your brother? Is that Mina earlier?" Asking two questions at the same time is confusing. Now, what should I answer first?

"An emergency occured. Wonwoo needs to go. And yes, It was Mina."

"Really? I told him not to work since it's our anniversary. I also hope that Mina is fine." She sighed deeply. Yep, she also responded two at a time.

"Let's go back to the party shall we?" We agreed and followed her.

As soon as we reached the place, I was surprised when the seating arrangement changed. Naeun has  already occupied my seat. Guess what she looks? She looks calm. And that makes me want to slap her face right now. When our eyes met, she gave me her fake smile. Indeed, a devil in disguise.

I sat across her. Obviously, I don't want to sit beside her.

"So Tzuyu, how have you been?" Mr. Lee entertained our quiet table. Same with Naeun, he also sat in our table.

"I'm good." I don't want to add anything. Knowing Mr. Lee, he would make the topic much longer than it is. I continued to slice the steak and ate it afterwards.

"How about you Naeun? Are you doing fine? I was surprised when Mina was working for you." Mom said. Mr. Jeon or shall I say dad, was confused.

"Mina?" Dad asked.

"She's Wonwoo's girlfriend." Mom calmly replied.

I was about to introduce Mingyu when I saw him and Mr. Lee looking at each other. Is there something I should know?

"To answer your question auntie, I'm doing great, but it doesn't mean that it's going to save our company. I'm just hoping that one day, someone will help us." Naeun cut my thoughts off.

And the game started.

Looking at Naeun's expression, it changed in to a sad one. It was believable since my parents pity her now. What a shame, her plan will fail later.

Simple, her plan is to convince my parents to let her marry Wonwoo. I'm smart after all.

I rolled my eyes and continued to change her topic.

"Mom, dad, by the way this is Mingyu my secretary, Mina's brother. They're not related though." Although dad was still bothered, he still greeted Mingyu warmly.

"Changing topic?" Naeun suddenly said, bringing her fake attitude and her fake smile.

"Changing attitude?" I eyed her with my deadly stare. Sorry, but if I don't like her, then I don't like her.

Because for one reason,

I'm not fake.
