You took a deep breathe as you opened the doors to the station. You finally made it.

For years you wanted to be a detective. It was your dream. And here you were. You were so proud of yourself and your progress. You walked through and signed yourself in and got led to your new office. A few moments after you had settled in, there was a knock at your door.

"Come in!" You shouted. The door slowly opened to reveal man.

"Hey. I'm Officer Daniel Rigg. I heard you were new here and thought I'd say hi and maybe show you around." He said. You gave a warm smile.

"Yeah, sure! I'm Detective (Y/N) (L/N)." You introduced, holding out your hand to him. He took it and shook it. He then led you around the office, introducing you to almost everyone. He then looked around.

"Hey, Hoffman!" He called. Another male standing by a coffee machine turned to you and Rigg. Rigg walked over to him and you followed like a lost puppy.

"This is (Y/N) (L/N), she's the new detective. (Y/N), this is Detective Mark Hoffman." Rigg introduced.

"Yeah, I already know about her. She was assigned to be my partner. I was informed this morning." Mark replied to Rigg. His words seemed without any emotion in them, which made you think he might have not been too excited to see you.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Hoffman. I've heard a lot about you." You greeted, giving him a smile and holding out your hand. Hoffman hesitated before shaking your hand, giving a small smile, which you couldn't tell if it was real or not.

"Pleasures all mine, Miss (L/N)." He said, giving a small smile back at you.

"Oh, just (Y/N) is fine. No need to be so formal." You said. Hoffman chuckled.

"I'll keep it in mind." He said.

"Well, that's everyone. I think I'll let you get settled in. And again, welcome to the team." He said. You smiled and nodded. You then turned and walked back to your office, decorating your desk and office to make it look more lively since it looked dull. You sighed when you finally sat down.

You still couldn't believe you made it.
