I was walking with Nick, it had been two days. There was still no sign of Annabeth or anyone else. I was beginning to think that I was too late
"Hey, What were you and my mom talking about?" Nick asked catching me off guard
"Nothing much. She just wanted to know what I was doing" I lied. If anyone including Nick knew about what Louise told me, they'd think that it was one hundred percent, even though it wasn't. I still wasn't making sense of it myself.
"Oh. What do you think of Abby?" Nick asked changing the subject as he walked beside me
"She's a nice girl. Why?" I asked him
"When we find her, I was thinking of asking her out. She brings out a different side of me, I don't know what it is" Nick said
"Well, you deserve to be happy as much as anybody else" I said stopping and looking around
"What about you?" Nick asked as he stopped too, I scoffed
"What about me?" I replied
"What're you gonna do when we find them?" Nick asked me. Truth be told, I didn't even know what I was going to do. I hadn't thought of it, there were things I wanted to do but I couldn't
"Get them home alive" I said and Nick nodded
"Sounds like a good idea" Nick said
