I was standing outside with my Dad; Abby and Courtney were with me. Dad wanted to know what happened out there, we told him but there was still something lingering in the back of my mind, it was a question; a big one at that, but it had to be asked
"Where's Nate and Nick?" I asked, I saw something flash in his eyes, it was brief and didn't stay; I wondered if it was pity maybe they were hurt or worse, dead. I didn't want to think that but I had to accept reality, I wouldn't expect Nate or Nick to refuse reality if I was dead, then again they wouldn't listen to me if their lives depended on it even though half of the time our lives did depend on it
"They're-" he started but he was cut off by a loud beep that sounded like it came from a prison
"What is that?" I asked
"It means someone is coming into camp" he replied, I couldn't really see who it was yet but I was going to find out. I walked slowly toward the gate; I felt my heart beating in my chest, the curiosity was killing me; I needed to know who was there. I stood in the middle of the small road, watching and waiting, my eyes never broke off the gaze I held on the hill, then I saw them. I started off in a speeded walk but it was like my body took control and I was running. I don't think either of them had seen me yet but my legs kept moving at a brisk pace. I wrapped my arms around Nate's torso. I could tell that he was startled by the action, as he hadn't expected it at all, I almost knocked him over, I knew he had wrapped his head around what was happening when he wrapped his arms around my waist
"Princess" he whispered in my ear, it was just barely audible and sounded more like a question because of his obvious disbelief, I let go of him and hugged Nick next. When he let go of me, he saw Abby and instantly ran toward her, I watched him go toward her with a small smile
"We thought you were dead" Nate said, I turned toward him suddenly feeling guilty
"I know. I thought the same thing but I'm extremely glad that you're not" I said and he nodded
"Me too, Princess" he said
