I stared in awe at the huge, towering buildings and large cohorts of people through our taxi's window. Having lived in a small rural area in the outskirts of Japan my whole life, suddenly being in a huge city was intimidating. But this was where I could be spending my high school years.
I gulped. Well, at least I had Shi-Shu.
I looked over at my friend who was gawking at all the pedestrians as well. Sure, they wouldn't be with me my entire time at Hope's Peak, but I would hopefully have a year with them at least. After all, they were two years younger than me, and hadn't attended a high school yet, as they were too young to apply. [And I wasn't even sure if they wanted to apply to Hope's Peak.]
Anyway, the big day was actually three whole days from today. But my family had insisted that we take a few days to get used to Tokyo and the hotel we'll be staying at.
Which will probably make me even more depressed if I don't get in, but the thought is what counts!
Eventually, the taxi driver stopped in front of a fancy looking hotel that took my breath away. It was huge, with at least one hundred windows and seven floors-
Just kidding. It was a below-average hotel.
Shi-Shu and I hopped out of the taxi. The driver held out his hand, saying, "$75 please."
Shi-Shu looked at me in shock, not expecting our ride to be that much. I smiled to them nervously and reached into my wallet to hand the driver the money. There wasn't a train or bus that could take us directly from my small country town to Tokyo, so we had to take several different rides. I took a quick look at the cash I had left and sighed to myself. Just getting here was starting to drain out my wallet.
But before I could, Shi-Shu had already given the driver the money.
I sighed. I forgot to mention that Shi-Shu came from a sort-of rich family. They [Shi-Shu] had offered to pay for the trip and all that, but in order to keep the small bit of dignity I had left, I insisted that I pay it all myself. But I guess that's out the window now.
The both of us took our stuff out of the taxi, got our room key, and took the stairs up to the fourth floor. [I insisted that we take the stairs so we could work out a bit after all those hours of sitting down].
Finally, we got up to our room.

P.O.V: Shi-Shu
Blair and I began taking things out of our bags and suitcases and began putting them where we thought they should go. I set up my belongings in a way that resembled how they were set up in my house.
For example, I organized the food based on what type they were and where they would be kept most fresh, like my parents did back home. Blair thought this was so weird, since her policy was 'if it's edible just throw it in the fridge.'
I originally put Daisy and her food and toys next to the one queen-sized bed the room had, but Blair told me that she didn't want to risk 'that thing' getting anywhere near her. So, after a long debate of who was sleeping where, my furry companion and I were sentenced to sleep on the couch for tonight.
After we were done organizing and setting rules, I took a seat and relaxed.
Even though I had begged Blair to bring me along with her to Tokyo, I began feeling a little nervous once we actually got here. With all the people and places to go, it was loud and easy to get lost. So much unlike our quiet neighborhood.
But now this place was already beginning to feel more like home.
"Jeez, Hinata," a voice from the room next to us started rather loud. "We have a game in like an hour! We don't have time to go out for-"
"But Kageyama! They have teriyaki!!!"
"Looks like we have noisy neighbors..." Blair commented.
Well, maybe not.
