Niyesha's P.O.V.
I woke up at exactly 4:13 A.M. I don't know why. I just had the feeling to get up. I quietly got up from the bed, making sure not to wake up Leroy.
I was still confused as to what Leroy has to do with this whole situation, but as long as he's human, I am perfectly fine.
I let my feet and mind take me where it wanted to go, and again I was in my Grandma's room. I turned on the light, and opened the box, looking through my Mom's journal again.
What the hell am I looking for?
That's when I saw at the end of the journal, it wasn't actually the end.
There were more papers taped to the back of the journal.
Neatly as possible, I took of the tape, and started to look through the papers.
Leandra Williams.
It was her birth certificate I'm guessing. But it wasn't from any hospital in the area. Matter of fact, it didn't even look like your average certificate. It was her name, and birthdate, but it had other things on it. Other things I'm too tired to comprehend now, but tomorrow morning I will.
Niyesha Williams.
Again the same thing with my certificate.
I put those papers on the side to see my mother's marrige license, and her vows.
I will love you through thick and thin. No matter the situation, I will love you until I cannot love you no more. And that will truly be impossible. There are no words to describe the first time I met you. At first a great friend. Helping me with school work, and eventually personal problems. Who knew that my great friend would turn into a great fiancé. And now a great husband. And also a great father. I love you Alejandro. No matter what happens I'll always love you. No matter what.
I started to read it over and over again, thinking about the puppy love these wo had. Until...

That part...that part stood out.
I am fifteen years old. Turning 16 in five months. Their marriage license says they got married on March 17th, 2000. I was born on July 14th, 1999. So I was barely one at the time.
No....no.
That made no sense because Mom always told me she got married before I was born. Her story stood the same.
