18. Dinner at the William's House

Time for Christmas Eve dinner.......

Everyone was at my house. The boys, my managers, and my besties. Latoya was in the kitchen making dinner, while LeeLee and I were helping. Ray was trying to help, but didn't know what the hell he was doing. My Dad was trying to make conversation with Keisha and Walter, but you can tell he was nervous. I wouldn't blame him. I mean to reveal a secret he's been holding in for so long, must be so difficult. But hey. It's his fault for doing it. 

Latoya: Food is done! Everyone come on into the dining room!

I set down the plates, forks, and spoons, and also the glasses. Everyone come in the dining room, and sat down. My Dad was at one of the dining table, while Latoya was at the other end. I was in the middle of my father, and Princeton. Next to Princeton was Ray, then LeeLee. Izzy sat down next to Latoya, far away from Roc as possible. I felt bad for them two. Izzy was hurt, and Roc just looked out of it. 

Latoya: Alright everyone. I hope you guys enjoy the dinner. 

She started to serve everyone. When she did that, she said Grace, and then everyone started to eat. That food was goooood. We had rice and beans (made by me), pork shoulder, baked macaroni and cheese, and collard greens. Plus LeeLee baked a cake, while I bought an Hershey Ice Cream Pie. Like that was some real soul food, and good dessert.

Latoya: So Nini, what was the occasion? I mean you usually go to our house for Christmas Eve.

Niyesha: Well my Dad has some news for you guys, that he would like to share. And I think everyone would like to hear. 

I smiled towards my Dad, and he fake smiled at me. I turned away, and kept on eating. Princeton had his hand on my thigh, causing to jump up a little. I looked at him, and all he did was smile. I rolled my eyes at him. After everyone was done eating, I stood up. 

Niyesha: Okay, now that everyone is finished eating, I think my Dad would like to talk. 

My father hesitantly got up, and cleared his throat. 

Alejandro: Well...I heard that LeeLee got a mysterious package in the mail. And I just wanted to say that I may know what that package was trying to say. 

Everyone stood quiet, Latoya and LeeLee, desperately trying to hear what he was gonna say. 

Alejandro: Those pictures that LeeLee got. Niyesha told me about them, and....she told them how the pictures looked the same....and it's something I've been holding in from Niyesha for awhile....Leandra is Niyesha's sister. 

Everyone's mouths were open. LeeLee looked confused, and Latoya just had her head in her hands. 

LeeLee: Niyesha...so what you predicted was true?

I ran to her, and hugged her. 

Niyesha: Yeah, I'm sorry. I was just as surprised, and you needed to know.

LeeLee: Don't be sorry, you did what you had to do. I just don't understand...Mom...Did you know I was adopted?

Latoya picked up her head, her tears running down her face, with her mascara as well. She started to shake her head up and down. 

Latoya: Yes...baby girl....you're adopted. I didn't want you to know like this....

LeeLee: I don't understand. Mr. Williams, why? Why take her, but not me?

Niyesha: I'll rather tell you that myself. The pictures that you had, were cropped. We were in the same place. 

LeeLee: Mom, you knew he was my dad?

Again, she shook her head up and down. 

LeeLee: I...I have to go to the bathroom. 

She got up from her chair, and went upstairs to the bathroom. 

Ray: Imma go check on her. 

Everyone else stood quiet, trying to let everything come in. Latoya looked devastated, while my Dad looked like he wanted to punch a wall. Latoya got up, and went to the kitchen. My Dad followed her. I just stood at the table. Did I feel bad? Yeah, I did. But she had to find out. And I rather it be now, then until she was like 20. Who knows? Probably my Dad would've never told me. He probably would've taken that secret to the grave. I got up and went to my room. 

Prince: Niyesha, where you going?

Niyesha: To my room. I'm sorry for ruining Christmas Eve. Thank you Keisha, and Walter for coming. You guys can leave. 

I went upstairs, went to my room, and shut the door behind me. I jumped on my bed, laying down, my face in the pillow. Shortly there was a knock at the door. 

Niyesha: Come in.

It was Princeton. He came in, and shut the door behind me. He came to the bed, and sat down next to me. 

Prince: What's wrong babe?

Niyesha: I thought LeeLee finding out would be good. But now I regret it. 

Prince:You did what you had to do. LeeLee seemed angry at her Mom, and your Dad. Not you. 

I knew he was right, but I don't know. I still felt bad. I just hope, Latoya wasn't mad at me. I couldn't live if she was angry at me. 

All I knew was one thing at the moment. 

After everyone leaves, my Dad is gonna be very angry with me. 

And I don't know if I'll be on the face of the Earth.

Cause I have a feeling, tonight, alone with him, is not gonna be good at all.
