Virgil looked around. He was outside, in the woods. He nearly forgot he was out here.. It was pitch black darkness, with an eerie fog near the ground. Everywhere he looked he felt like he was being watched. It made him very paranoid.
"Guess..I fell asleep out here..right, Ro?"
At first, he didn't get an answer.
"Virgil.."
Virgil turned toward his partner, who was curled up against a tree.
"You have to wake up. Now."
"Huh??" Virgil asked, frowning. He kneeled down next to Roman.
"Virgil you're dreaming again, please..please wake up.. they..they are coming.." Roman looked absolutely terrified.
Virgil's blood ran cold. He tried pinching himself to wake himself up. It didn't work.
"I..I don't think I'm dreaming Princey-"
"You are..please trust me.. I'm talking to you from outside of your dream.."
"How are you..-"
"I'm literally Thomas's hopes and dreams- I have some control over dreams.."
"Oh.." Virgil paused for a moment. "Why can't I wake up...?"
"I think you were just really tired from the panic attack, that you were out cold.. But please..try to wake up.. we don't have much time.."
"I- I'm trying.. I don't..know..what to..do.."
"Just- oh no..."
"What??? Oh no?? Oh no, what?!?!" Virgil asked, a bit of panic streaking his words.
"They.." Roman swallowed hard. "They're here.."
Roman vanished from the dream.
"PRINCEY!" Virgil yelled out, suddenly waking from his dream. He blinked several times, eyes darting around.
There were Patton and Remus, both stalking toward him and Roman.
"Patton! Remus! C'mon, please just..snap out of it!!" Roman pleaded to them. "Please! I miss my friends..I-I miss my brother!!"
Remus glared, walking up to him. "You are /not/ my brother.. Not yet.. your mind knows too much. Damion will fix you."
"Hey, listen asshole, I don't need "fixed"! Damion, I know you can hear me.." Roman growled. "Let Patton and Remus go..Now..."
"Now, that tone isn't very nice~" Patton smirked. "You should apologize~"
Roman shook his head, avoiding looking Patton in the eyes. He grabbed Vee's hand, beginning to make a run for it.
The further the two of them ran, the more they seemed to get lost in these woods. It was like a neverending maze that neither of them could escape.
Virgil didn't know how long he had been running, and he refused to look behind him. Everything seemed to get darker around him. All he could hear was his own heartbeat hammering in his head, and he was truly panicking, more than usual.
His vision blurred slightly as tears pricked the corners of his eyes. When he assumed they were safe, he turns around, only to freak out when Roman wasn't with him.
"Roman!- Ro- this is /not/ funny!!- don't..don't tell me.. no..nononono...R-Ro...."
"Aww~ such a shame~"
Virgil quickly turned around again, gasping in pure fear when he saw someone unfamiliar. Behind the man were Remus and Patton both holding Rkman captive.
"Let him go!!!" Virgil growled out, more tears falling down.
"Grab him," the man said, grinning.
Right before Remus could grab him, Virgil ran in a blind panic. He panicked again when he saw a portal open up in front of him. It caught him off guard, so he fell through. It quickly closed in after him.
The man yelled in anger, glaring at where the portal just was. Then he turned to Roman with a dangerous look in his eyes. "Oh, I promise you're going to pay for doing that~"
Roman stared back at him, trying to hide his fear. "Do your worst, Greed."
