Chapter 23

Sidharth was waiting for Shehnaaz to call him but he continued his shoot.. Shehnaaz on the other hand didn’t call him, thinking he would be busy..
She went out, saw both her families sitting together, chit chatting among themselves and Tai was preparing breakfast in the kitchen..
“Pehli rasoi maine banai, aaja bache.. Kheer se muh meetha kar..” said Rita Maa.. “Sorry Maa.. Aap subhe-subhe mehnat kiye..” cooed Shehnaaz..
“Koi Baat nahi bache.. Chal aaja ab..” said Maa, hugging her and dragging her towards the dining table.. Everyone had breakfast together and Shehnaaz had a gala time with the family..
Sidharth got free from his shoot and the first thing he did was to check if there’s any message from Shehnaaz.. There were a few texts, replies to whatever he had sent.. He read them all and called her right away..
“Sidhaaartthh!” cooed Shehnaaz as she picked up the call.. “Mera Bacha.. I miss you..” cooed Shehnaaz.. “Rajbir khotteya.. Pareshan na kar mennu.. Sidharth naal Baat kar rahi..” said Shehnaaz to Rajbir who was pulling her leg like an obedient brother and as every sister gets irritated by their brothers Shehnaaz was also being the same..
“Someone’s having fun without me, huh?” said Sidharth.. Shehnaaz scrunched her nose, “Fun, aur is gadhe ke sath.. Haye, naak me Dam kiya hua hai dono bhaiyo ne..” said Shehnaaz..
“Aww, now that’s what I love.. Ho pareshaan ache se.. Mai aaunga toh koi pareshan nai karega..” with a pause, “Mere alawa..” said Sidharth and laughed..
“Tu bhi in dono ke sath mil gaya. Haye, kutta kahi ka..” said Shehnaaz.. “Acha ek sab chor, tu kaisa hai? Nashta kiya? Bina khaye toh shoot nai kar raha na?” asked Shehnaaz..
“Khaa liya baby.. Tu nashta kari?” asked Sidharth.. “Haa, nashta dawai sab leli.. Itne sare log hai yaha fir bhi mujhe teri bho Yaad aa rahi Bubbu..” cooed Shehnaaz..
“Aww, my baby.. I will be back soon.. Five days baby.. Just five days.. Acha tu kya karegi abhi?” asked Sidharth..
“Ad shoots hai.. Kafi, wo Movie wale song ka video shoot hai.. Bho time se live nai gayi hu.. Wo bhi karna hai.. Ye dono kuch karne hi nai dete.. Maa aur Amma ko toh ek dusre se fursat nai hai.. Best friends ban gaye hai dono, mujhe in do bandaro ke sath chor ke..” said Shehnaaz.. So cutely that Sidharth wished to kiss her right away..
“Oh, koi na baby.. I know you’ll do it.. Jab team ko bulaegi, call Surbhi also.. Introduce karwa de Surbhi ko sabse.. Take her help in planning out your schedule.. Usko aata hai already lekin tera pattern usko samjha dena..” said Sidharth.. He got a knock and so he disconnected the call, “I will call you back, next shot ready hai..” said Sidharth and Shehnaaz bid him goodbye..
She called Surbhi as told by Sidharth, “Hey Surbhi, kaisi ho tum?” asked Shehnaaz.. “Mai achi hu, aap kaise ho? Mai kab aau aapke pass?” asked Shehnaaz..
“Mai driver bhej rahi hu mera, Vinay.. Usko tumhare ghar ka address pata hai.. Car ka Number aur Driver ka number bhej rahi hu, tum befikar aa jao..” said Shehnaaz..
Surbhi agreed and disconnected the call.. She planned her schedule with herself first and her team arrived along with Ken.. It was a big advertisement shoot so Ken accompanied Shehnaaz.. In the apartment, half of the side was consumed for their work.. The two apartments were combined from inside but the entry door was different so that her work people don’t intervene their personal space..
Sidharth designed the apartment in the perfect style, keeping their work and current family plus future family in his mind.. He took ideas from Shehnaaz as well..
Surbhi came in and Shehnaaz introduced her to the team.. She gelled up well with everyone and she was added in the professional group of Shehnaaz’s management team.. They started the shoot and Surbhi took charge of clicking the BTS pictures..
The shoot began, Shehnaaz finished it as soon as she could.. Surbhi was a keen observer.. She had spoken to Sidharth earlier and had jotted down Shehnaaz’s schedule on her Phone.. She saw it was time for giving either fruits or juice to Shehnaaz..
The team took a break in between and Ken had fun with Shehnaaz, shooting absolute random things.. “Ma’am, juice loge ya fruits..” asked Surbhi..
“Oye, hamari age me zyada difference nai hai, chill kar.. Ma’am na bol.. Team mujhe Sana bulati hai.. Bindass raho mere sath..” said Shehnaaz.. “Juice dedo, fruits khane ke baad makeup firse karna padega..” answered Shehnaaz and Surbhi got it for her..
Once she gulped in the juice, they ended their break and resumed the shoot again.. The shoot came to an end and Shehnaaz took a sign of relief..
“Haye, mai toh thak gayi aaj.. Dusra ad baad me shoot karenge.. Aaj ke liye ho gaya..” said Shehnaaz, giving up already and the team didn’t force her to shoot more..
They all bid goodbye to Shehnaaz and Surbhi stayed back.. “Surbhi, mujhe tumse kaam hai.. Abhi mat jao..” said Shehnaaz..
“Mai kahi nahi jaa rahi.. Sidharth Sir ne bole hai jab tak wo wapas nai aa jaate, mujhe aapke sath hi rehna hai.. Bag leke aayi hu mai paanch din ke saman ke sath..” said Surbhi..
“Arey wah, toh chalo fir.. Ghar ke us side.. Sab wahi hai..” said Shehnaaz, holding Surbhi’s hand and taking her to the other side of the house and introduced her to her family..
“Ye Surbhi hai.. Maa se toh tum Sydney me mil chuki ho.. Ye meri Amma hai, ye khotteya, black crow jaisa mera bhai hai Shehbaaz, ye mera cousin hai, Rajbir..” said Shehnaaz and Surbhi shook hands with everyone..
“Kabir aur Naira sham me aaenge.. Chalo lunch kar le., Zor ki bhuk lagi hai..” said Shehnaaz.
“Tere favourite Chole banai hu..” said Amma.. “Haye, thank you Amma..” cooed Shehnaaz, hugging her mother..
The brothers were silent because Surbhi was present.. They weren’t teasing Shehnaaz as if they wanted to create an impression in front of Surbhi.. Girls get these intuitions.. Shehnaaz and Surbhi looked at each other and smirked, understanding why the boys were so calm and composed..
Post lunch, the mommies went to sleep.. Shehbaaz and Rajbir went into one of the rooms and Surbhi joined Shehnaaz in her room..
Shehnaaz explained Surbhi how she works.. Surbhi helped her add things in her diet to be fuller by eating less..
They both had a great understanding.. Sometimes, your vibe just matched with the other person instantly and it feels like magic.. That’s what Surbhi and Shehnaaz felt for each other..
“Aap change nai kiye ho, 4 din se aapne koi picture post nai kare ho toh pose dedo do teen, mai click kar leti hu..” said Surbhi..
“Ohoo, research barabar kari ho..” said Shehnaaz, impressed with the way Surbhi kept everything in check..
They clicked pictures and Shehnaaz clicked a picture with Surbhi as well and posted on her social media handles, introducing her as a team member..
Things were going well with Shehnaaz and so with Sidharth.. He is a great actor and he didn’t require any retakes.. He was giving perfect shots one after the other..
Days passed, Sidharth and Shehnaaz would talk to each other in between shoots, before sleeping and sometimes they didn’t get to talk much..
It was the second last day of the shoot.. Sidharth had to shoot with Akash.. They started shooting early in the morning.. Akash was also a good actor but he was a spoiled brat.. He didn’t take the shoot seriously.. He was constantly trying to test Sidharth’s patience..
Sidharth understood it well but he kept his cool.. Sidharth took a break and went into his Vanity followed by Kaushal and Aadith.
“This guy is such an irritating person..” scoffed Sidharth.. The guys stayed shut and Sidharth dialed Shehnaaz’s number.. Her phone was out of range..
“Ab ye kaha hai? Iska phone kyu out of range hai..” said Sidharth, cutting off the call and calling Surbhi.. Her phone was out of range too..
“Hadh hai sala.. Kaha hai dono Allah Jane..” scoffed Sidharth.. “Bhai, calm down.. Kaam me busy hoegi.. Uska schedule hai mere pass.. They are doing the movie shoot right now.. Tabhi out of range hai.” Said Kaushal..
“Ye Akash Pagal ho gaya hai kya? Itna natak? Sala Jitna bardash karo ye itna sir pe chadh raha hai. Jo ye soch raha hai mera Naam kharab karega aisa ho nahi sakta..” said Sidharth.. Sidharth didn’t know that Akash over heard him.. He was a star kid and his ego was smashed.. Sidharth kept on saying, “Jitna samjh ke lo, itna Pagal kar raha hai.. Itna retakes koi leta hai kya.. Bas star kid hai isliye le lete hai in logo ko..” said Sidharth, running his finger in his hair, highly irritated and Shehnaaz’s absence made him lose his cool even more…
“Bhai, aap relax karo.. Ye Narial Paani leke aaya hu.. Ye piyo, thand rakho.. Sab sahi ho jaega.. Aaj Aur Kal do din ka shoot hai.. Kal climax hai.. Face off hai aap dono ke beech..” said Kaushal..
“Haa wo sahi se shoot kare tab na.. Bas Baap actor hai ya producer hai toh bete ka talent dekhe bina hi kaam de diya..” Sidharth was frustrated because he was perfect at his work and he didn’t like the partiality..
He gulped in the Narial Pani and somehow managed to calm himself down.. They resumed the shoot again.. Again, they had to retake..
“Bhai, dialogues simple hai. Tu samjh ke Yaad kar.. Aur feel ke sath bol.. Meko jana bhi hai Bombay wapas..” said Sidharth to Akash, very politely explaining him how to deliver the dialogues..
But Akash took it on his ego.. His ego was already built listening to Sidharth earlier.. “Mujhe mat sikha bhai.. Tu hoga tv actor aur ek do movie kiya hoga.. Mai born star hu..” scoffed Akash and then, Sidharth started getting highly angry but he controlled..
“Listen Akash, I don’t care what you think about me.. I am just advising you because you are the reason of multiple retakes.. Born artists doesn’t need to tell the world that they are born artist. Their work speaks for themselves.. Your talent is speaking well about your so called born artist.” Scoffed Sidharth but he didn’t shout..
Akash knew about Shehnaaz.. He knew Sidharth was highly attached to Shehnaaz and if Akash will say something, Sidharth will definitely react..
“Achaaa, kaam chor ke aurat ke pass jana hai.. Bas yehi kar tu Sidharth.. Yehi Gandagi soojhti hai tujhe..” said Akash and Sidharth’s blood boiled..
