CHAPTER 19 EMBRACING REALITY

Chapter 19
Sidharth wanted to rescue Shehnaaz as soon as possible.. “Adith, tere pass yaha ka chabi ka bunch hai na?” asked Sidharth.. “Haa Bhai.. Mere pass hi hai..”
“Perfect, usme hamare kamre ki bhi chabi hogi.. Lock khol sakte hai.. Chal andar..” said Sidharth, walking towards the entrance.. Adith gave him the bunch of keys and Sidharth quickly headed towards the bedroom.. He tried opening with a key but it didn’t work.. He tried another, again it didn’t..
“God, please help me.. I want to get my baby out of there..” saying so he tried another key and it clicked open.. There wasn’t water inside.. But there was a frog who was shouting on top of its voice in the corner.. And on the other hand, there was Shehnaaz curled up on the bed, hidden inside the quilt..
Sidharth ran towards her.. “Shehnaaz..” He called her name.. She opened her eyes and slightly lifted the quilt from her face.. As she saw Sidharth, she threw the quilt away and jumped on him..
“Mera Bacha..” cooed Sidharth and hugged her close.. “Calm down.. Bas, baby, mai Aa Gaya hu.. Frog kuch nai karega.. Adith abhi usko bhaga raha hai.. Please relax baby..” said Sidharth, rubbing her back up and down..
Adith shooed the Frog away and closed all the windows inside the bathroom.. He left the room, giving them their privacy..
Shehnaaz cried, digging her face in his chest.. He couldn’t see her like that.. “Baby, gaya wo frog.. Sab khidki band hai ab nai aaega.. Please don’t cry my love..” said Sidharth..
She came out of his chest a little just to look at him and pouted her lips.. Her eyes were red with crying which meant she was crying before he came in as well, “Kyu gaya mujhe chor ke.. Maine bola tha na mujhe dar bhagana toh tune bade chaudh me bola tha Mai hamesha rahunga.. Kaha gaya fir?” asked Shehnaaz, innocently..
“Meri Jaan, lunch ka time chala gaya.. Shaam hone wali hai.. Isliye Mai socha ek pyara set up karu lunch ke liye aur fir tujhe uthau.. Sab ho gaya, bas khana garam karne rakha tha tab hi power cut hua..” said Sidharth, holding her close.. Not leaving her for a moment..
Shehnaaz felt bad questioning him when he was just planning for her only.. “Bubbu, tu mere liye kiya?” asked Shehnaaz.. “Nai, Riya aane wali hai, uske liye.. Wo toh tu Uth gayi aur ye sab ho gaya toh usko wapas jana padha.” Said Sidharth, in a stern voice, making Shehnaaz believe him..
“Han? Jaa rahi hu mai yaha se..” said Shehnaaz and the thundering started again.. She didn’t care and was on her way to get her clothes..
Sidharth had made sure she wasn’t afraid and was ignoring the thundering.. He walked towards her and hugged her from behind.. “Chor de Sidharth.. Tu kar apni date.. Bula le Riya ko wapas.. Mai chali..”
Sidharth stopped her from talking as he turned her around and took her lips in his for a quick peck.. “Ho Gaya? Ab sun.. Abhi firse bijli khidki aur tera dhyan Riya me tha toh tujhe dar nahi laga.. Mai yehi sikhana chahta tha.. Mind divert karna chahiye jis cheez se dar lagta hai.. Dekh, gusse me kaise bags pack karne chali gayi, tujhe farak hi nai padha bijli se..” said Sidharth and Shehnaaz realized what he was trying to do..
He tucked her hair behind her ear and pressed his lips on her forehead..
“Let’s go baby.. My brave baby..” cooed Sidharth.. He played the song as they walked towards the setup on the first floor..
PUCHE MERA DIL BAAR BAAR VE.. KITHE CHUP BAITHA MERA YAAR VE..
“Sidharth, sorry Bubbu.. Tujhe galat samjha.. Bas mujhe aise akele chor ke kabhi nai jana.. Mai bho zyada dar gayi thi..” said Shehnaaz, as they reached.. Sidharth smiled and made her sit on one of the chairs and he settled next to her..
He served the food and fed her first.. She coughed and he was ready with a bottle of water..
“Chup kyu hai?” asked Sidharth.. “Gana continue kar na..” said Shehnaaz and Sidharth played it again..
PYAAR DI DO GALLAN HAI PUKARTI.. A KHAN NU VI TERA INTEZAR VE.. ME TA HUN TERE BIN, MUKH JANA..
“Shehnaaz, baby tu thik hai na..” asked Sidharth, as they finished eating and Shehnaaz got up from her chair and settled on his lap..
Shehnaaz nodded her head.. “Tere pass rehna hai..” said Shehnaaz and Sidharth tightened his grip around her..
JE TU AVEGI NAHI, SAANSO NE RUK JANA..
“Mai Keh rahi hu Sidharth, kabhi chor ke nai jana.. Kabhi bhi nahi.. Tere bina Mai nai jee paungi.. Meri saanse tujhse chalti hai..” said Shehnaaz..
“Meri Jaan, mai yehi hu.. Kahi nahi Jaa raha.. Kaun jhelega mujhe tere alawa..” said Sidharth and Shehnaaz glared at him..
“Acha.. Ye reason se rahega mere pass? Tu kyu tang kar raha hai.. Ab bas kar na..” said Shehnaaz.
“Acha nai karta tang.. Aaj ke liye meri baby bhot adventure kar chuki hai..” said Sidharth..
TUJHE RAB SE BHI ZYADA KARU PYAAR VE.. TERE NAAL TERE NAAL TERE NAAL KARNA PYAAR VE..
Sidharth laughed and she joined him too.. “Haye Rabba.. Mai Pagal ho gi thi.. Aisa lag raha tha bas ho gaya.. Itna dari.. Wo frog pata hai aisa lag raha hai mujhe Jaan bujh ke sata raha tha.. Itna awaz kar raha tha.. Wo uchla bhi.. Lekin Acha hua mere pass nai aaya..” said Shehnaaz..
“Are Gadhi, itna chota sa hai.. Kya kar lega.. Tu dekh apne aap ko, moti kahi ki..” said Sidharth.. Shehnaaz hit his arm and he huffed, “Uff.. Kaisi biwi hai.. Apne pyare se pati ko aise maarti hai..” said Sidharth..
“Drame karwa lo.. Bina soche samjhe kuch bhi karne razi ho jaega..” said Shehnaaz and they both laughed..
“Drama karna tujhse seekha hai.. Acha time pass hota hai.. Kam se kam, sath toh hai hum.. Kuch bhi kare..” said Sidharth, leaning towards her..
They didn’t realize when it was evening.. They were cocooned in each other’s embrace.. Sidharth felt hungry and he looked at Shehnaaz.. “Baby, bhook lagi..” cooed Sidharth..
“Jaise tune plan kiya tha, Maggie leke aayi hu.. Bana deti hu..” said Shehnaaz, getting up and Sidharth held her hand.. “Mai Aa raha sath..” said Sidharth..
They went to the mini kitchen, made Maggie and Sidharth made tea.. They again went to their set up and enjoyed the whole weekend together…
They were all set to return back to Bombay on Monday.. With loads of happy memories and happy moments spent in the Little Space along with the funny ones..
A lot had happened in Bombay, the network errors and power cut issues.. The city was filled with water.. The situation was not so good.. But gladly, things were better..
Sidharth headed towards Neetu di’s place with Shehnaaz and they hugged mom a little longer.. Thankfully, Naira and Kabir were at Neetu Di’s place and Sidharth, being the mischievous guy he is, narrated the whole experience of Shehnaaz, making everyone laugh..
Shehnaaz sulked, hugging mom.. “Dekho na Maa.. Kaise mazak bana raha hai mera..” said Shehnaaz.. “Koi nai bache.. Aisa soch ki teri wajah se koi bechare has rahe hai..” said Mom..
“Haye, sachi bechare hai ye Saare.. Kuch mila nai toh mujhpe has rahe ho.. Haso, Haso.. Khush raho meri wajah se..” said Shehnaaz..
How easy it was to make Shehnaaz happy.. “Mera Bacha, I’m sorry.” Cooed Sidharth.. “Bechara maafi mang raha hai..” said Shehnaaz..
“Abey chal na..” said Sidharth.. “Bada aaya tha mere upar hasne wala.. Abhi aaya ooth pahad ke neeche..” said Shehnaaz, grinning huge. As if she won a battle..
The family spent time together and Sidharth went to Mom. “Ghar chalo.. Please..” said Sidharth.. “Aa hi rahi hu.. Tu aise be chain kyu ho raha hai? Sab thik hai na?” asked Mom..
“Haa sab thik hai Mom.. Bas ab aap bhot reh liye ye dono ke ghar.. Aa jao mere pass wapas..” said Sidharth..
“Ha, bache.. Aa rahi hu.. Tu shant ho Jaa..” said Mom, rubbing his arm.. The Shukla Parivar went back to their house and Shehnaaz was busy in unpacking their bags.. She put the used clothes in the washing machine and was adjusting the cupboard..
Mom went to take her afternoon nap and Sidharth had a few interviews to give followed by a zoom meeting.. The interviews were fine but the zoom meeting had him stay shut.. He couldn’t decide..
It was a project for which he had to go out of Bombay for a week for a part. The rest would be shot in Bombay.. Sidharth had planned to not shoot for a while.. But it was a good one.. A movie which would be great for his career…
“Kaushal, maine socha tha abhi acting ka kaam nai karunga..” said Sidharth.. “Nai bhai, aisa nai hota tha.. Aise aapka career peak wala hai.. Aap aise karoge toh nai Acha hoga.. Thoda socho.. Shehnaaz ke liye Surbhi hai.. Aapki family hai.. Aur aap Shehnaaz ki family ko bhi toh bulwa rahe ho na yaha.. Zyada mat socho, go for it…”
