𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲-𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭

"It is nice to see all of us gathered in one place once more!" Rengoku cheerfully said. Unaware of the expressions the two hashira beside him.

"It hasn't been that long since our last meeting, I wonder why Oyakata-sama has called us once again." Mitsuri smiled widely, Shinobu just absently nods in response.

"What's that flower called again?" Muichiro mumbled absentmindedly despite how loud the other hashira's were.

"How flamboyant it is to see all of us complete," Uzui stated with a grin and crossed his arms together. "It hasn't been long since it was decided of what that demon girl's fate was, I am flamboyantly guessing it has something to do with Tomioka again."

"Who's that again?" The mist pillar inquired while staring at the sky.

"Tch." Obanai stared at the water pillar whose back was turned against them, not like it was anything new but he heard that Shinobu and he were assigned on a mission together.  What was odd was even the usual smiling Shinobu was now frowning.

Something must have happened in their mission together. The question was what.

"Tomioka?..." The flame hashira wildly turned his head around from side to side, in hopes of seeing the water pillar who was currently standing alone and away from them deep in thought. "Ah, I see, Tomioka!"

'Tomioka-san looks more handsome than usual! Even Shinobu-san looks pretty even when she's frowning.' Mitsuri squealed which earned the attention of the snake pillar, his eyes followed her line of sight only to see her staring at Tomioka.

Obanai glared at the unbothered pillar, whose gaze was still focused on the tree. Seemingly unaware of the other pillars talking near him.

Giyu was still bothered about what happened the other night, how it went downhill from that point where Shinobu and he were leaving. His troubled gaze met the insect pillar, just like him, Shinobu was also worried.

The Hashira's kneeled down to the ground when Oyakata-sama has made his appearance, the atmosphere immediately changed from being calm to serious. The leader of the demon slayer softly smiled despite the bad news he was going to say.

"Thank you all of you for gathering here once again despite the circumstances we are now currently facing," Kagaya began, his voice was warm and gentle. "It is quite sad to say that I bear grave news."

"Grave news..." The hashira's muttered in unison, they all wondered what could be it about for the leader of the demon slayer corps to announce a sudden meeting.

"A few days ago I have sent two of our pillars, Shinobu and Giyu for a mission." Kagaya continued, immediately raising his right hand so that the pillars would let him finish. "We have located the woman who was sighted with Kibutsuji at Asakusa, Tokyo. According to Tanjiro's description, Shinobu has also confirmed that it is indeed her."

"Muzan Kibutsuji?!" Mitsuri gasped in surprise covering her lips with her two hands.

"Then where is he? Have you found him?!" Sanemi immediately turned towards the direction of the water pillar who ignored his stare and didn't answer his question, making him clench his hand and teeth in anger.

"I originally planned to meet Y/N L/N in order to have a conversation with her regarding Muzan Kibutsuji," The leader of the demon slayer informed them noting how the other hashira's chose to listen to his words silently. "And to also provide her with protection."

"Oyakata-sama, may I ask why would you want to provide protection to this woman who was with Kibutsuji!" The flame hashira asked with Uzui nodding along as he agreed to his friend's question.

"Shinobu and Giyu shall explain the details on what happened to their mission," Kagaya stated with a smile.

"After talking and observing L/N-san for a few days, Tomioka-san and I both agreed and came to the conclusion that she was truthfully unaware of Kibutsuji's true nature. In conclusion, that woman was a victim to that demon's schemes." The insect hashira explained. "In addition to that, her brother has also gone missing after finding out that Muzan was a demon."

"Gone missing? Perhaps he will regain his senses and return to their home where his sister is." The love hashira chimed in.

"I wish that was the case however her brother still couldn't be found, I have asked several demon slayers to keep an eye out for her brother during their missions," Shinobu remarked while remaining in eye contact with her fellow hashira.

"And how many have flamboyantly replied? have they found him?" Uzui asked the short female slightly dreading the answer he already had in mind.

"None," Giyuu stated loud enough for everyone to hear. "We have asked a dozen slayers to keep an eye out, however, half of them are dead while the other half is missing. Even the demon slayers stationed near Y/N's home are dead."

"It's as if they must have seen or learned something they shouldn't." Silence engulfed the room, they were all baffled why Muzan was desperate to get his hands on Y/N. They couldn't help but wonder what is the demon lord getting out of this whole situation, as far as they knew she was just a human girl.

A human-like the rest of them, they knew he couldn't use her as a shield again in order to blend in with humans.

"That is why I ask all of you to keep an eye out for her," Kagaya began speaking, gaining the attention of the rest of the pillars. "We still do not know what Muzan's grand scheme is concerning her that Kibusuji is willing to expose himself how desperate he is for Y/N."

"So when you do see her, I ask you to take her away and take her back to the estate no matter the cost, I fear that time is quickly running out..."

I'm back sorry for the delay, I was just discouraged to write again because of some comments which is why I wasn't active in WP. But lol I think some of the hashira's are ooc, please excuse that oml I'm trying my best to write them from what I can remember. I don't remember some of my book's event :D
