THE YOUNG WOMAN clung to her chair, gasping for air.
"I am alright, mother; no need to worry about me." Her face twisted in a grimace of pain, showing how she loathed her body's condition. Her mother and brother spent years caring for her due to how frail she was, like how even a slight chill in the air could make her have a fever that could last for at least a week.
Today was supposed to be a happy occasion; it was her brother's birthday, but because of her, it was ruined. which was nothing new, of course; she always did end up wrecking their plans with her sickly health.
