Fridays have always been my favorite. I mean, who doesn't like Fridays? It was the day I could see my friends at school then go home right after, relax and go to bed at two in the morning without having to worry about being sleep deprived.
The only downside to my Fridays was the fact that I had to sit in a lecture for an hour, listening to my Calculus teacher talk about formulas and numbers.
Don't get me wrong, I was a decent student, I just really got bored in class.
I started to zone out a little, almost dozing off if not for Levi nudging me awake. "Stay focused, Pop. I'm pretty sure we're gonna have a test next week, and our amazing teacher is going to announce it the day before. So listen."
"Can't you just listen and teach me later?" I whined.
Okay, Poppy, no. You sound like a child.
He stared at me, knowing what I was thinking already. "So you'll listen now?"
"Yes, okay," I gave in. "But you better listen too because nothing is gonna stay in my brain."
Turns out, I was wrong. I did actually learn a few things. Something about limits?
"Fin and I are staying at your table later," he reminded me. "I'll see you."
Ever since Blake told him that I knew his name was Finley, Levi just gave up on calling Blake "Blake" or "Nixon" when it was just us talking.
"Grant and Curtis too or just you guys?" I asked.
"Don't know yet," he admitted. "I'll text you when I find out."
"Okay, bye," I waved at him and walked to my next class, Spanish. Another boring one, but it was less boring at least.
My brain was working a lot in that class, just trying to figure out what's going on.

Ever since I figured out that Sabrina lied to me, I couldn't help but feel a little awkward around her, and although she was her usual cheery self, I was just very uneasy.
She was telling Angel and I all about how she was paired up with this one guy in English for some project, and he was annoying her.
"Tell me about it," Grant groaned, hearing what Sabrina was talking about. He was the first of the boys that joined us. "I got Emily Griffin. That girl never stops talking."
"That's Poppy's locker neighbor," Blake sat down beside me. "Never gonna forget."
I snickered, knowing full well what he was talking about. "Blake knows how much she doesn't stop talking, right?"
"Never," he agreed. "Good luck, bro."
Grant frowned in response. "My ear is bound to fall off."
At least I knew I had that to look forward to in my last class. Let's hope I get paired up with someone good.
"Are you going to the party tonight?" Angel asked us all. "It's a birthday, right?"
"Yeah, birthday," Grant affirmed. "It's Annie's birthday, I think."
"So is everyone going?" Sabrina asked. "I wanna convince my mom to let me go."
Where was the lie that she was grounded for the rest of the month? There when it helps her, and gone the next day?
I shrugged, hiding my disappointment at my friend. "I can probably go."
Everyone else nodded in response.
