023: Shattering Light

"Alright. Gather up."

Everyone stands around the circular table on the map. Soveliss holds his hand over the activation panel. He looks at everyone as we stand together.

"Violet is in the Forest of Tranquility. This forest is slowly dying and is laced with Corruption. It isn't safe, but it's where we have to go." Soveliss speaks to all of us. "Everyone needs to stay on guard. I also want two people near Allisa at all times since she isn't Written. I will be one of them. Who will join me?"

Ikimono raises her hand. "I'll stay with both of you." She states.

Soveliss nods. "Thank you, Iki." He takes his hand away from the panel. He glances at Nova. "Nova. I need you to use your navigation spells to help us get there. While I have this fancy technology here, I can't exactly lug it with me. Can you attempt to help us get there since you've seen this map?"

Nova's green eyes light up.

"I can try!" She says. "Typically, that spell only helps when I've been to the place we're going. But maybe by seeing this map, I'll be able to get us there safely. So I'll put my best foot forward!"

Soveliss chuckles. "That's all I can ask for. Thank you as well."

Snowie hops up onto Sakasu's shoulder. Her three tails wag when I glance over.

"What can I do? Can I help? Please let me help!!"

Allisa glances over. She smiles softly. "You got your third tail. Does that mean she should have some more powers?" She looks to Soveliss as she asks her question. When he nods, she looks back at the Familiar and smiles once again. "You can support us with your magic."

Snowie's eyes flash blue. Her ears perk up as she smiles at Allisa. "I won't let any of you down! I promise!" She yips as her tails wag in sync.

Soveliss now looks at me. He summons his staff as he nods.

"On your word."

I nod to the elven man. I raise my hand to tap my Charm as the glow takes over my body. When it fades away, it reveals my Written Form, and I clear my throat.

"Let's go."

I watch as every Written in the room glows their respective colors. One by one, all of my friends, old and new, are each in their Forms. They all glance at one another, exchanging nods and friendly smiles.

"Ready when you guys are!" Nova says. She looks at me as her half-mask appears over her eye. "Give me the word, and I'll conjure the map."

Ikimono crosses her arms as her armor clanks a little. "You can do it, Starling."

I smile. "Lead the way, Nova."

The blue-haired girl nods once more. She puts out her hands, and the turquoise gems on her gray armband begin to glow.

"Starlit Map, guide us to the Forest of Tranquility."

Within her hands, a smaller version of Soveliss's map appears in starlight. She grins as she holds it out with pride.

"You did it!" Saisho cheers her on. "Great job!"

"Thank you!"

Naomi looks at the map in her hands. "Alright. So we just follow this map to the forest, right? Will Violet be there?"

"I can't locate Violet, but we'll find her. I'm sure of it!" Nova grins at the other girl.

"Find her and bring her home to the Normal. So everything can go back to how it was."
