"Guardian's Embrace!"
I put up another shield with my arm as Violet sends another spell my way. The magic protecting me causes the blast to collide and explode. I fall back a bit again. As soon as I'm able to put the shield down, it vanishes.
"Violet, you need to stop!" I yell. "This won't get us anywhere!"
"Shut up!"
My sister creates a small buffer of magic between her and the ground. It raises her into the air, but not by much. Her eyes pierce into me as she watches closely.
"Talk all you want. All you say are words of nonsense. You don't care for anything that isn't in your perfect world. You're nothing but a terrible sister!" Violet raises an arm. "I will make sure your name goes down as the worst person to ever exist! Vengeance!"
She sends a blast towards me. This time, I'm unable to put up my shield fast enough. As it smacks into my chest, I'm sent tumbling back into the ground of the dying forest. I scream as pain surges through my body.
"G-gotta heal... this..." I whisper as I pull myself up on my knees. I place a hand on one of my thighs. "Healing Touch."
As I say this, a pink wave of magic surrounds me. I close my eyes for a moment. I inhale. The pain starts to go away, but I can feel my own energy depleting slowly. That spell won't be as usable as time goes on in this fight...
But I gotta protect myself.
"Come on, Violet. Let's stop the fighting. We don't have to do this."
"I don't care! I hate that you think you care about me! You sound just like Mother, and I hate it!"
"Well, maybe her sounding like me is a good thing!"
Both of us stop in motion. A smile forms on my face as a frown takes Violet's. I slowly turn around to look back and see Momma. She runs towards us, an ombre cape behind her as she speeds to the scene.
"M-Mother?!"
"Momma!"
As she stops at our side between both of us, I sense another presence around us. As I look around, my friends and allies are surrounding me. All of them stare at Violet or glance at me. I earn a few grins from Nova, Allisa, Soveliss and Saisho. Naomi waves at me. Ikimono nods to me before glaring at my sister. Sakasu gives me a thumbs up while Snowie barks.
My team is back.
"Oh, fantastic." Violet sneers. "The motley crew is back to tell me how terrible of a person I am. Fantastic!"
"Young lady," Momma states. "This is not how I raised you. Please, try to think rationally."
"Rationally? After you lied to me all these years?" Violet says. "You must be joking."
"She's not!" Sakasu's voice speaks up. "You really need to stop all of this. Do you know how many people you're hurting right now?"
"You're acting really selfish. If you'd just communicate with people, maybe you wouldn't be so angry." Nova calls.
Saisho nods. "There's no need for this fighting! Cease the chaos!"
"Your family has always been by your side, Violet. You need to recognize that and calm down." Ikimono states.
"Exactly! This fighting will get you nowhere!" Naomi calls.
"Please just stop!" Allisa yells.
"We will help you. We can help you with whatever you need. Trust us, please." Soveliss puts a hand out.
