Lan Sizhui shouted at Jin Ling:
"Jin Ling, send the distress signal."
Then everybody saw Wen Ning, Lan Rin was hiding behind a tree, she sighed and used a talisman to disguise her face quickly, she then came out and saw Wen Ning. Wen Ning destroyed the Dancing Peri. It was an illusion. Wei Wuxian was relieved but Wen Ning was stirred up, he got violent. Wei Wuxian noticed it and thought "my tune was too violent, it stirred him up, I have to calm him" he started playing a calm tune, a tune that he heard many years ago while he was feverish in a dark cave.
Lan Rin recognized the tune and thought "oh God, no."
Wen Ning got calm, he started walking towards Wei Wuxian. Wen Ning's eyes were fully black, his face was more pale than usual. As Wen Ning was walking towards Wei Wuxian, Wei Wuxian started taking a few steps back, he then bumped into someone, he looked at the face of the guy. The guy was handsome, his eyes were a light colour, he was wearing the headband of Gusu Lan Sect, then he recognized the guy, it was Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji held Wei Wuxian's wrist tightly, he was looking at him with loving and longing eyes. Wei Wuxian quickly played a tune to send away Wen Ning and he held Lan Wangji's wrist too. Wen Ning went away. Jiang Cheng also arrived in the scene and asked:
"What happened here, why are you all miserable?"
A Yunmeng Jiang Sect disciple spoke:
"It is Wen Ning. Wen Ning came."
Jiang Cheng:
"Impossible, he has been asleep for years."
The disciple:
"It was Wen Ning. He summoned Wen Ning."
The disciple now pointed to Wei Wuxian. Jiang Cheng was furious as he knew that the rituals to summon or expeditions kept failing, he shouted:
"Great, you are back!"
Jiang Cheng tried to hit him with the Zidian, Lan Wangji stopped him with the zither. Jiang Cheng:
"Lan Wangji, how dare you!"
Wei Wuxian tried to run away but Jiang Cheng hit him with the Zidian. Wei Wuxian fell on the ground, stood up, and said :
"Why are you beating me randomly?"
Just as Jiang Cheng was about to hit Wei Wuxian again, he felt a hand holding his wrist and then Lan Jingyi said:
"That is enough Sect Leader Jiang. That spiritual weapon is Zidian. If he possessed a body, Zidian would make his soul get out. Wei Wuxian's body or soul couldn't be found after his death."
Jiang Cheng:
"How do you know that Wei Wuxian died for sure?"
Lan Jingyi:
"Hanguang-Jun declared it."
Sadness passed through from Jiang Cheng's eyes, he then looked at the person holding his wrist, it was Wen Qing. Jiang Cheng said:
"Take off your mask!"
Wei Wuxian:
"If I take off my mask, you would die from fear!"
Jiang Cheng:
"Just tell me, who are you?"
Wen Qing:
"Wanyin, enough!"
Jiang Cheng calmed down, Lan Rin was also standing near Wei Wuxian, Jiang Cheng said:
"Come to Yunmeng with me."
Wei Wuxian:
"I would rather go with Hanguang-Jun."
