Chapter 30: Surgery

Wei Wuxian felt that sandalwood was filling his lungs, he then felt wetness on his neck, and the warmth of Lan Wangji, he thought "am I sweating?" he then slowly opened his eyes, only to see that tears were streaming down Lan Wangji's face, he gently wiped them, Lan Wangji opened his eyes:

"Wei Ying"

Wei Wuxian:

"Lan Zhan."

Wei Wuxian looked around and recognized the room that he once stayed back in the days when he was a fugitive after the massacre, he asked:

"Lan Zhan, why are we in Yiling?"

Lan Wangji stayed silent, he was still hugging Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian continued speaking:

"Are you going to force me to give up Chenqing?"

Lan Wangji:

"No."

Wei Wuxian:

"Then why aren't we in Yunmeng, how long has it been?"

Lan Wangji:

"Wei Ying, you have been sleeping for a week."

Lan Wangji stopped hugging him and sat up, then helped Wei Wuxian sit up, Wei Wuxian:

"What happened?"

Lan Wangji:

"You exhausted yourself so much."

Wei Wuxian took a deep breath:

"I am fine."

Lan Wangji:

"Wei Ying."

Just as Wei Wuxian was about to say something, he heard some noises from outside:

"A-Yuan, don't run so fast."

Wei Wuxian stood up at once, he got light-headed, Lan Wangji rushed and supported him:

"Wei Ying slow down."

Wei Wuxian stabilized himself and walked to the door, once he opened the door he saw Grandma and A-Yuan. A-Yuan excitedly ran to Wei Wuxian and hugged his leg tightly:

"Xian ge-ge!"

Wei Wuxian:

"A-Yuan, what are you doing here?"

A-Yuan:

"Shijie told me you missed me, she told me that she would send me to see you. Xian ge-ge, shijie missed you too."

Wei Wuxian picked up A-Yuan. Grandma bowed and left, A-Yuan saw Lan Wangji:

"Ji ge-ge."

Lan Wangji looked at A-Yuan and gave him a slight smile.

Grandma entered the study room where everybody else was waiting inside. Wen Qing:

"Grandma, Uncle Four, I will need your help."

Uncle Four:

"What is it Lady Wen?"

Wen Qing:

"I want to transfer half of Lan Wangji's golden core to Wei Wuxian."

Uncle Four:

"Lady Wen, wouldn't the golden core dissipate?"

Wen Qing:

"It is strong."

Grandma:

"Lady Wen, are you sure?"
