(tw// kidnapping)

Marinette really appreciated what Adrien did for her. She didn't tell him this but she was actually super afraid of the dark and more specifically, being outside in the dark. I mean there are a whole bunch of scary things and people you can see or find. What she forgot? Lots could happen in 6 minutes. Marinette heard two pairs of footsteps approaching her.

"Walk faster Marinette. Whatever you do, don't look back. Walk." She told herself. She took her phone out and pretended to be on it but she was contemplating who to call. But she was too late. The men held her two arms, forcing her phone to drop out of her hands.

Marinette let out a scream so loud, she thought everyone in Paris heard her.

"Let go of me! Help! Someone help me!" She trembled. "What do you want!" She said, still trying to squirm out of their grasp. No reply. "What do you want!" Still, no reply. Marinette took this as an opportunity to yell as loud as she could and at this point, she felt hopeless. No one was coming to save her, no one heard her. No one would stop to help a teenage girl screaming for help.

"Does boss want us to take her now?" Marinette heard the taller man say.

"Yes. put her in the van." The other man said.

"Help me! Where are you taking me! Someone help!" Who wanted to take her? The men ignored her pleas and pushed her into the van and tied her to a chair in the back.

Marinette had never been this afraid in her life. The men were now tightening the ropes around her torso, legs, and arms and put on zip ties around her hands.

"Cover her mouth." One of the men instructed and Marinette let out some last screams until her voice was no longer audible. She really hoped someone heard her or else she was screwed.

Sweat was coming out of her scalp and her heart was racing.

"No one is coming for me." She thought. She looked around her and was looking for ways to get out, to escape, but it was no use. There were van windows but she couldn't get close enough to crash out. But when she thought all hope was lost she saw him.

Chat Noir.

Her eyes softened at his presence and she let a few tears out of her eyes. He saw how miserable she looked and cursed at himself for not coming right when he heard her scream. He just stood at the window, trying to think of a way to get her out. Maybe using his cataclysm on the van? He decided to just try and pick the lock on the moving van. The door swung open and he went in and started to untie the ropes around Marinette and took the tape on her mouth to which she squealed quietly from the pain.

"What are you doing back there?" One of the men asked. There was a divider between her and the driver so they couldn't see her but it was thin so they could hear her moving. "I'm going to check." The man in the passenger's seat said. "Pull over." Chat Noir was now panicking more than before. Marinette's legs were still tied but her arms and torso were free so she was working on untying one foot while Chat untied the other. They heard the car door open and Chat said, "Stay here, Princess," before leaving the van to fight the men.

Her left foot was loose and she just needed to untie her right foot and she could get the hell out of there.

Meanwhile, Chat Noir was fighting one of the men, easily winning. But he didn't notice the other man creeping to the back of the van.

"You aren't leaving. Bosses orders." He said, forcing her back to the seat.

"Chat! Help me!"She yelled.

"Get your fucking hands off of her." Chat spat, before grabbing him, flipping him over, and punching his face until blood started gushing out. Marinette felt frozen but she had to continue taking the ropes off her right foot. Her foot was finally loose and she told Chat to take her home now but he didn't listen. He just kept punching the man, to the point where his face was no longer identifiable.

"Okay Chat, just leave them. Come on, I'm free now, let's go." She said, still shaking but Chat Noir blocked out her request. He was in his own world now, taking all his anger out on the man.

"He hurt her." A punch for that. "He took her." Two punches for that one. "I could've never seen her again." Thinking about this made him lose control.

"Okay Chat you can stop now. Just take me home." Marinette said a little more loudly this time. He still didn't listen but it's not because he was ignoring her request, it's because he genuinely couldn't hear anything she was saying.

"Chat stop! You're going to kill him!" Her words went through one ear and stuck with him. He was going to kill him and he would never live with that. He almost killed a man. He almost killed. Almost.

Chat let go of the man and he whimpered on the ground. He was shocked at what he had just done. He looked at his hands that were covered in crimson red blood. He saw the other man beat up but not as badly.

"Tell Hawkmoth we aren't working for him anymore! I can't do this anymore." He said. But why would Hawkmoth go after Marinette?

"Do- do you want me to walk you?" Chat Noir asked Marinette who looked horrified. She couldn't look him in the eyes but she could see his whole suit covered in blood. She didn't know what to say.

"You almost killed them." She mumbled. It really did scare her.

"I'm sorry. It got out of hand and I'm sorry but I did it to protect you." He replied.

"Well thank you." She meant it. Well kind of. She was thankful but it's just she got scared of what he could do to people.

"Please don't be scared. That wasn't my intention." She wanted to give him a hug but their blood was in his hands. Literally.

"It's fine. Can you take me home?" He scooped her up, trying not to get her bloody, and brought her to her rooftop.

"Do you want to use the shower?" She asked and he nodded and got all cleaned up. Marinette sat on her couch and waited for him to come back out, trying to push the tears back into her eyes. She was still shaking a lot but tried to calm herself down. Chat Noir came out of the shower, no longer covered in blood. He went over to Marinette to comfort her. After all, what she went through was traumatizing. Her head turned to the sound of his footsteps and tears were flowing from her eyes.

"Hey it's gonna be okay. I'm here, don't worry. It'll be okay." He pulled her into a tight hug and let her cry on his shoulder.

"What if I never saw you again? Or my parents or my friends? I thought I was going to die." She said in between breaths.

"Well we're all here. You're safe now-" Marinette stopped him before he could finish his sentence. She pushed her soft lips against his and it felt like time had stopped. Chat Noir's heartbeat sped up and he placed his hand on her cheek while she placed her hands at the back of his head, getting them lost in his hair.

Suddenly, there was a knock on Marinette's trapdoor, ruining the moment. "Shit hide." She said and opened the door.

"Hey mom. I'm just getting ready for bed." She yawned and hid her smile.

"Alright sweetheart. Good night." Sabine nodded and went back to her room. Marinette's lips immediately formed into a smile and her heart started fluttering. Now it was clear. She wanted Chat, she loved him.

"You don't know how long I've wanted to do that." She said and he blushed.

"I thought I would've scared you off if I kissed you." He admitted and she just chuckled.

"Kitten, you could never scare me off." She was on her tippy toes, putting her arms around his neck giving him a little kiss. That was a little lie because he did scare her today but that was because he was protecting her.

"Can you stay here tonight? I'm still really scared and you make that feeling go away." She asked.

"Yeah of course. Whatever you need, Princess."

They got into Marinette's bed and just laid there while they looked at the ceiling and occasionally at each other, but somehow they ended up in eachothers arms by the time the sun started rising.
