"Are you sure about this?" Atsumu's boss asks after reading his resignation letter. Atsumu licks his lip and nods, "you know we can talk about it if you find something unsatisfactory, like your office, your position, your salary, I can move you to a wider one, give you a promotion, or I can give you a raise,"

Atsumu smiles, "I'm flattered that you're willing to do all those for me, but it's not something that involves the company. It's something personal,"

Atsumu's boss sighs and looks at him with regret, "it's a shame to see you go. I like you a lot. You've done so much in the time you've been here," Atsumu doesn't reply. Instead, he silently smiles at his boss and waits to be let go, "well, there's nothing I can do about you wanting to leave. But know that you're welcome to come back,"

Atsumu nods, "thank you," he bows to show his gratitude, "you may leave,"

Atsumu leaves the office with a lighter heart. He didn't think things will go well, but he's relieved they did. He didn't have the energy to deal with another problem. He immediately walks to Meain's office and sees him talking to the new employees. He waits in a corner until Meian's done.

"What are you doing there?" Meain asks after approaching Atsumu, "waiting for you," Atsumu grins, making Meian frown, "what do you need?"

"Let's drink tonight," Meian's eyes grow wide at Atsumu's invitation. He blinks before laughing, "who are we going with?"

"Koutarou, Shoyo, Adriah, Inumaki, and Barnes," Atsumu's grin grows wider when he sees Adriah smile, "what's gotten into you? Suddenly asking everyone to go out drinking,"

Atsumu shrugs, "I wanted to share something with you guys,"

Meian raises a brow, "don't tell me you got fired," Atsumu laughs and shakes his head, "don't worry, I wasn't,"

Meian nods, "so it's your treat then?"

"Yeah, so you better go, don't pass on the chance for free booze,"

"I'll definitely be there,"

Atsumu leaves after that and goes to everyone's offices to invite them. Once he's back in his office, he starts packing. He doesn't feel sentimental as he puts his belongings in a box. He never did feel attached to this place. The only reason he lasted working there for so long was because of his friends, so it's a wonder to him why he did everything to reach whatever position he has now.

"There's no point regretting now," He whispers to himself before sitting on his chair to start with work. He didn't want to leave any problems for the company, so he does his best and makes sure to submit proper reports.

Atsumu's routine goes just like any normal day. He works, drives to Kiyoomi's office, and goes back to work. The only different thing is him asking his friends out for a drink instead of going home. He already told Kiyoomi about it, so he didn't have to worry about Kiyoomi waiting for him at home.

"So, what's you're grand announcement?" Koutarou slings his arms over Atsumu's shoulder.

Atsumu nervously chuckles and rubs his nape. It was okay when he was thinking about telling them about his resignation, but now that he's about to say it, he's suddenly feeling anxious.

"Could it be related to you're anniversary with Sakusa-san?" Shoyo's eyes beam as he asks. Shoyo had always loved third-wheeling before, and it saddens Atsumu thinking how Shoyo would react if he finds out they're about to have a divorce. He was like their kid, and Atsumu wanted to protect him.

"Oh yeah! It's your anniversary this week," Adriah cheers, "this one's a public celebration, right?"

Atsumu nods, "yeah, I already sent you the invitations before, so why are you asking?"
