Finding Who I Was Meant To Be

Chapter 2

Nicole smiles as she and Dalton headed into his house. She had missed hanging out with him. Back in the day she, Dalton and Madison were the Three Musketeers. Nicole surprisingly remembered where everything was, so upon entering the house she went straight to the fridge to get a Sprite and then checked a cabinet for Doritos. She loved them. Almost as much as she loved Swedish Fish.

Armed with the best provisions possible, Nicole sits on the couch with Dalton. "So where are these mysterious bandmates of yours?" She asks, stuffing her mouth with Doritos before attempting to wash it all down with Sprite. Dalton chuckles at Nicole. "You haven't changed. Still stuffing your mouth with food, yet you're still a twig. You and Will have so much in common." He says. Nicole gives him a look. "Who's Will? Is he one of your bandmates?" She asks. Dalton nods. "Yep. They should be here soon," he replies.

As if on cue, four guys enter the house. "What's up Dalton?" Dana asks, coming into the living room. Cole follows behind. "Yeah why'd you ca-?" He starts. They all stop when they see Nicole. Gabe looks at Nicole. "Aren't you from that band on YouTube? What's the name......" He asks, trailing off as he tries to remember the name. "Pandemonium?" Dalton says. Gabe nods. "Right, Pandemonium. We're huge fans." Cole sits down on a chair. "What are you doing in Dallas and how do you know Dalton?" He asks.

"I live in Dallas and I went to the School Of Rock with Dalton. We reconnected at the record shop when we went for the same Rolling Stones album." Nicole responds. Dana sits down as well. "That's cool," he says. Will smiles. "I really love that one song you guys did, 'Finding Who I Was Meant To Be', that was genius." He says. Nicole blushes. "Thanks, I actually wrote that. All our original songs I wrote myself. Well my part and the lyrics. The rest of the band wrote their parts."

Will sits down. "That's cool. I write music too. We don't do my songs though." Nicole frowns. "Bummer." Will nods in agreement. Dalton speaks up, "So Nicole. We heard that you got a record deal for your group. Is that true?" She nods excitedly. "Yep. Pandemonium is becoming a real deal band. We leave for LA within a week." Cole smiles, "Awesome. We leave in two days. Maybe you guys can get on our flight." She laughs a little. "Maybe."

Nicole could tell that this was the start of great friendship between her and the boys.
