Finding Who I Was Meant To Be

Chapter 9

Will's PoV


I woke up the next morning feeling completely content for the first time in a while. Last night, Nicole and I had sex for the first time. Neither one of us had used protection but it was okay. We were both in our mid-twenties and children was a topic that was heavily conversed about between us. We wanted children and we would let nature control our family. Today was our anniversary and I had a very a special day planned for us, well for Nicole anyway. She was going to have an amazing day while I set up for tonight. Tonight I was going to propose. Nicole and I aren't getting any younger and everyone else in the band is engaged or married, and I'm the second second oldest. Plus, with Nicole's possible pregnancy I really think this is the time to do it.


I untangled myself from Nicole and then got up to get dressed. I wrote Nicole a little letter explaining what she's supposed to do before placing it on the side table. I pecked her forehead before leaving to go set up for the day.

Good Morning Love,


Today is a very special day for us. Before I get into anything I just want to say that last night was amazing. It was my first time as well and I loved it. Hopefully, we'll be able to produce kids and start a family. So anyway you're probably wondering why you didn't wake up next to me. That's because I had to set up the day for you. It's going to be amazing and it'll be an anniversary you'll never forget. So this special day for you consists of four parts: an amazing breakfast in bed along with a movie, a spa day for you to be pampered and relaxed, a fitting so that you can find something new and beautiful to wear for tonight, and then the amazing dinner and big surprise I have planed for you.


The first part is your breakfast. I have the hotel room service bringing you your favorite meal in bed: Cheese Grits with Tomato Sauce and Chorizo. They'll be up at about 10 o'clock. I also have your two favorite movies set up on the TV: Now You See Me and Pitch Perfect. You can watch whichever one you like but there's only time for one. Then at 12:30 head downstairs to the hotel spa. There you will get a facial, full body massage, and manicure/pedicure. Then head to the boutique, there they'll have you dress up in something cute and do your hair and make up. Finally you'll be blindfolded and the bellhop will walk you to dinner for the best part of the day. Can't wait to see you then love!

Nicole's PoV


I smiled as I read Will's note. I leaned over and looked at the alarm clock, 9:55. I jumped up and threw on a t-shirt and underwear. As I finished cleaning up, there was a knock at the door. I opened it and there was the bellboy with a cart with my breakfast. "Good morning Miss Masterly, Mr.Behlendorf had me bring you breakfast and give you this." He says handing me a small red box, before leaving. Inside the box was a silver charm bracelet with a single charm, an alligator. There was a note on the inside lid: This charm represents the first time we hung out, just the two of us. We went to Sea World and then you dragged me to a Cajun restaurant. At first I was against it because I thought, alligator sausage? That's crazy, but you introduced me to one of my favorite foods currently. So this is supposed to commemorate that. xoxo, Will


I smiled at the sweet note and put the bracelet on.

Later, I made my way to the adorable dinner Will set up for me, blindfolded and wearing some of the most beautiful clothing ever. The dress he picked out for me was beautiful and the charm bracelet I've aquired over the day was just amazing. The bracelet had eight charms: an alligator, a microphone, a heart, a plane, a book, a picnic basket, a wine bottle, and a baby bottle. I was seated down and then my blindfold was taken off. I was sitting in a private cabana overlooking the ocean with Will seated across from me.


"Will, this is amazing! The day was great, this dinner's beautiful and the charm bracelet is just........ Incredible and really sweet." Will smiled at me as the waiter came with our dinner. "I wanted everything to be perfect for you. It is our anniversary." He said smiling. We dug into our food, I really did like Mexican food, Will knows me so well. A couple hours later we were finishing up dinner and dessert. I got up to get ready to leave, when Will grabbed my wrist. "Nicole wait up. There's something I've been wanting to get around to for a bit and I think now is the perfect time."


I turned around to see Will on one knee, holding a small ring box. "Nicole, I love you with all my heart, I have since we met when we were 16. You are my best friend, my soulmate, my true companion, will you please do me the honor and add fiance and wife to that list?" My hand flew up to cover my mouth as happy tears flowed down my face. "I never thought you'd ask, what took you so long?" Will chuckled as he put the ring on my finger and picked me up in a hug to spin me around. I looked down at the ring, it was a skinny silver band with a fairly large diamond set in the center with tiny opals and moonstones (our birthstones) alternating around it. The ring was truly beautiful.


"I love you Nicole." He murmured into my neck.


"I love you too Willy." I murmured back.

I think the bracelet is gorgeous. But do you know how hard it is to find a custom charm bracelet site that has an alligator charm? But anyway, I had fun writing this chapter.
