Dawn's POV

I laid down on the bed, feeling sick. After the accidental kiss with Young Master Junhwi, I feel like there's something in my veins attempting to get out.

[Flashback;

Our lips connected the moment I turned around. Caught off guard.
As far as I want to push him away, there is this force that seem to paralyze my body, making the two of us stare at each other in close gap.

A sudden spark-like electricity from my entire body erupted out of nowhere, it really feels like being hit by a lightning...or being electrecuted!

He must have felt it too because he suddenly pushed me away.

[/ End of flashback;

I turned my body towards the left side of the body, curling in fetus position. One hand on my forehead.

My head is slightly hot. Feverish. Is this an after-effect of kissing a man with Alien-like cells?

I heard my bedroom door opened, I immediately sat up alertly.

"Hi, Miss Dawn. I'm here to drop off some books that I was told, you might find interesting." Sora flashed me a small smile, carrying a couple of books and documents. Placing it neatly at the coffee table.

Slightly dizzy, I stood up and went over to check. They are hardbound books that resembles an encyclopedia, some looks old and worn out, spec of dusts visible.

"Eagle's Command: A Guide"
"Tiger's Den Family"
"Secrecy in Power and How to Unleash it"
"Diamond Corporation: Records"

I glanced at Sora, hoping for some sort of explanation.
She gave me a bubbly smile,
"Someone sent them to you, Miss Dawn. No notes was left though."

I looked down on the books, Eagle's Command: A Guide. If the book is there, why did they tell me that they don't know much about them? There is literally a book about them here.

"Have you seen this books before?" I asked Sora, meeting her permanent amused eyes.

Smiling apologetically, eyes dropping to the books,
"I'm illiterate, Miss."

============

I spent the entire day reading the books Sora had given me, she instructed me to not tell others about it because apparently, maids and guests are not allowed to accept gifts without permission.

Nearly finishing the book about Eagle's Command but the only thing I found out is about their leader.

"Joshua Hong"
> Leader of Eagle's Command.
> Entire family was murdered 10 years ago.
> Younger sister was kidnapped at 5 years old and was used by DiaCorp for experimentation. Hasn't been found since and believed to have died.
> Power serum is water and healing.

Joshua Hong's face occupying an entire page, cheshire eyes sparkling brightly, wavy black hair, medium tall nose and pinkish lips.

He is good looking but....broken?

"He is blaming Diamond Corporation for his family's death....his background story is reasonable yet...what does this have to do with Tiger's Den?" I spoke to myself, brows furrowed.

If solving this mystery will be able to bring me back home, then i must investigate further. Besides, I think I know who sent this to me. It must be Hansol.

Wait...so if Hansol really did sent this, is there a chance that he left some sort of...code??

Realizing this, I turned the book upside down, searching from page to page, scanning everything that looks suspicious. However....there is nothing.

I threw the book towards my bed irritably. Glaring at it.

Picking up the next book, Diamond Corporation: Records

I scanned it lazily, not bothering to read any text but merely looking at the unknown pictures of kids, scientists, birth certificates and even newspaper cut outs about the news of missing kids.

I was about to close it again with a snap but a picture suddenly caught my eye. It is a picture of a boy around 10 years old, big eyes, long lashes and red small lips. I opened the folded piece of newspaper on the second page.

Labeled: "First Ever Human to Superhuman Experiment: 'The Heir DNA' "

Choi Seungcheol (10), is the first ever in Diamond Corporation to receive the superhuman serum named as "The Heir DNA"(see pg. 3). The young boy's parents, Diamond Corporation's Shareholders, Mr. & Mrs. Choi had shared, "We are very proud of our son for representing our family and being the first ever to try the serum, in which the corporation worked so hard to achieve."
(see pg. 7 for Military Response in Superhuman Serum proposal)

I stared at the page in hand, without noticing that my eyes pooled with tears. Hands are shaking so badly I accidentally dropped the book to the floor.

Choi Seungcheol....that's my brother. What is he doing here? I thought he died from heart attack...was that all a lie?
If so...the person who sent this must have known me. It is not Hansol.
