Chapter Eight : Series of Unexpected Events

Junhwi's POV

I'm in my usual mode, irritating the hell out of this woman. I still can't accept the fact that a low woman like her will be our future queen. I wonder how will Hoshi react?

"Can you please, please stop bothering me even just this once?" Dawn said through gritted teeth.

I smirked.

"Why? Why? Why? I will do what i want." I said, mocking her.

She glared at me so hard. She's the only woman who have the guts to do this to me. How exciting. I think Jeonghan will find this woman great, sadly, she's already taken.

"Fine. Do as you wish." She said, going back to reading.

I see, she's already comfortable around the castle. I wonder if she will still be after everyone returns?

With Dani and Rica going on a "vacation", Hoshi and Jeonghan visiting Earth, Dokyeom, Chan and Jihoon--- wait... Speaking of those three where are they anyway? Nevermind. They will just turn up when they like.

"What?" Dawn said, i did not notice that i was actually staring at her

"What?" I raised my left brow

"Why are you staring?" She said raising her brow at me as well

"I'm just trying to see what made you look so ugly." I said resting my back on the chair, crossing my arms.

She 'tch-ed' at me before going back on the book.

As i stare at her, from her eyes, medium tall nose, and her plump lips, i suddenly find my heart beating fast,

What the heck's wrong with me?

I cleared my throat, averting my gaze somewhere, this is bad.

Dawn closed her book with a loud shut and stood up glaring at me again,

What? What did i do? I'm not even doing anything.

"You're making me lose concentration. Now i can't read." She said before turning her back at me, observing the big library

"You mean...you cannot understand what you're reading?" I quoted. Standing up and following her.

'Yes. I'm on my way to annoy her again.'

She turned on the left side, disappearing behind the shelves. I just followed silently.

The king left me a task, might as well have fun.
Dawn climbed two steps on the metal stairs designed to reach high books.

I stood a few feet behind her, watching her struggle.

When an idea came to my brilliant mind.
'I should get the book that she wanted...

And place it in an even higher shelf.'

Grinning to myself i went behind her, my head just beside hers, she is reaching for a romantic novel book and before she could take it, i was able to reach it first, taking it out of the bookshelf and hiding it behind my back. Smirking victoriously.

"I got it first~" i whispered on her ear.

The gap between us is so small that one wrong move can result into a disaster... And that's what happened.

Dawn turned around so fast that our lips accidentally connected.
My eyes widen, neither of us moved, we're just frozen from shock.

While in close gap, we remained motionless, unconciously staring right at each other.

Why...i cant...move?

There's a sudden spark that erupted from my veins knocking me back to my senses. I pushed Dawn away rather harshly.

"YAH! WHAT THE---! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?" I screamed my eyes as big as my knuckles

"EXCUSE ME? WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING BEHIND ME?"

I wiped my lips harshly, instead of answering i decided to walk out.

Holy sh*t! This is not part of the plan!

Geez. Out of all women i had kissed before, this is my first time feeling harassed.

"It's my first kiss..." i heard Dawn whimpered,

I stop in my tracks and turned around to face her again, she's kneeling on the floor, eyes filled with tears.

Feeling annoyed, i chuckled sarcastically,
"Should i be thankful?"

Turning around once again, i exited the room with a slam.

Better go away as far as i could until the others return.

You know what's funny? My heart is beating like crazy and i can feel my ears turn red as well.

Guess i'll be dying soon. Hoshi will kill me for sure.

*****'s POV

Ever since i saw the handsome guy, i've made it my goal to spy in the castle.
Roaming around secretly without Bean Pole knowing.

The castle is indeed so big. A room caught my attention, the door is slightly open, debating, i cautiously took a peek roaming my gaze around until i saw a man,

'Oh there is the handsome guy! And wait...he's with a woman. I wonder who is she. He doesn't have a girlfriend...right? I know Young Masters doesn't have one. Bean Pole says so.'

I hid behind one of the big potted plant. Crouching a little, though uncomfortable, i spent a long time trying to spot him so might as well struggle some more.

I was staring intently for god knows how long, just observing Young Master Moon, when a dust get into my eye.

"Ouch" i mumbled silently, rubbing my eyes. I rubbed it for a good 1 minute before it disappeared, blinking my eyes continuously.

"That hurts" i whispered before taking a peek once again, only to see an unbearable sight

Young Master....is kissing the woman?

I froze on the spot.

No way. I watch as Young Master pushed her, and walked his way to the door.

'No! I must not get caught! I'm not supposed to be here!"

I immediately stood up from my spot and started running away.

My heart aching. I can't believe i wasted so much time trying to get a glimpse of him.

How stupid of me. The moment i reached the garden where me and Bean Pole often hangs out, i let out the tears that i've been holding in.

He was right. I'm dumb.

"Hey! Why do you keep on being missing!? Do you know how worried i was!? I thought i ended up dropping you somewhere again! Where have you been!? Hey! I'm talking to---" the moment he turned me around to face him, his words were cut off, he just stared at my red puffy eyes from crying

Instead of asking what's wrong, he engulfed me into a hug, patting my head,

"Shh. Why are you crying? What's wrong?" His voice soothing.

"Mingyu-yah" i said while sniffing, my voice shaky

"Hmm?"

"I'm broken hearted. I like someone who have a girlfriend!"

Mingyu or should I say...Bean Pole, stopped patting my back as my tears flow continuously.

"YOU LIKE WHO????"
