Emille woke up. He wiped away the eye grease and yawned. He got and stretched. The raven sat on the window. Emille waved at it. It cocked its head and flew away. Suddenly a soldier in blue appeared at the cell door. He grabbed Emille and pulled him out of the cell.

"What's going on?" He asked as he pushed down the old hall. The soldier lead him to a door marked 'exit'. He was pushed outside and for the first time felt the sun wash over him. He felt the coolness of the air on his face. It was interrupted as the soldier jabbed him in the back pulsing him forward. He was in some sort of garden. There were concrete walls surrounding the area with vines crawling up them. There was a pattern of grids with each square growing different plants and vegetables. The soldier opened up a gate and pushed Emille out on to a street lined with apartments so close there was maybe an inch or two in between them. It wasn't right, something was wrong. There were no people. The soldier pushed him into a cage with glowing blue bars. He was to nervous to touch them.

He felt the cage lighten and lift at least a foot off the ground. It began hovering. The Cage was small but he could stand straight. It was chained up to a large land speeder like vehicle. The soldier gave the pilot a 'ok you can go' signal and the speeder slowly moved forward. Emille was barely keeping his arms and legs from touching the glowing bars. The speeder went by shops and more apartments but not a single person. It looked like earth if Emille didn't know any better he'd say it was earth.

The speeder tilted forward as it began going down a hill. Emille slid forward using his hands to keep his face and body from hitting the bars. His hands made contact with the bars and he felt electricity rip through his body. He yelled in pain and the shock stopped. He began breathing heavily.

The speeder was on a dirt road in the middle of a wheat field. The sun was up high and not a cloud was in the sky. The wheat blew in the wind and Emilles hair was pushed back. He took a deep breath. He stuck his head as near to the edge of the cage as he couldn't get without touching the bars. The speeder was driving towards a massive building. The building was very tall and wide. It had a wall surrounding and Emille thought he could see soldiers or turrets on the walls. The speeder grew closer and the building got bigger. It looked like some sort of church. There were hundreds of speeders and vehicles parked at the entrance of the walls. The speeder past through the walls and immediately Emille was greeted. Hundreds and hundreds of people all ran to the cage. The speeder grew even slower as the crowd of people tried to get to Emille. They were screaming and yelling nasty words at him. They booed him and swore at him. Kill him! One man yelled. A lady pushed her way through the crowd holding a wooden stick. She pushed it through the blue beams then touched it to Emille. The electricity filled his veins and tore away at him. He yelled in agony. Police soldiers began pushing people away from the cage and trying to hold people back. Emille watched the chaos as people shoved the police officers over. The cage jolted and Emille hit the bars again. He felt his whole body lose sense of control and just felt pain. One of the police officers shot his gun off and the crowd backed away making a circle around the officer and the cage. A young women lay in the circle with a bullet in her chest. The crowd stayed away.

The speeder made its way to the biking and stopped. The bars disappeared and Emille was helped out off by a soldier. The soldier was Emilles age he was wearing a blue olive uniform with various badges on it. He had black armour covering his arms and legs. His hair was black and slicked back. His nose seemed broken and his eyes were a dark blue.

"Run when you here the word over!" The soldier whispered to him as he pushed him into the building and the door shut behind him.

What? Run when I here the word over? Emille thought.

"Emille vanguard, step forward." A deep voice boomed. Emille walked forward pretending not to be scared. He walked forward and noticed there was an isle leading to a small bench and on either side of the isle was a crowd of hundreds of people. There was a pedestal in front of the bench with a man at it and above all this there was a balcony filled with people. Emille walked to the bench. Everyone was dead quiet. It was awkward.

"You are here today because of murder, treason and other acts of terrorism." The man in front of him said. It was a judge Emille realised. He was in court.

"Is this right?" The judge looked down at Emille. He thought for a moment knowing that it was a lie but if he said he hadn't done it they wouldn't believe him.

"No." Emille said. There was a whisper that swept across the crowd.

"Silence please." The judge said and the crowd listened. "please say your point of view then." The judge told him.

"Kron tried to kill me." Emille began and instantly the crowd erupted into boos of disbelief.

"Silence!" The judges voice boomed over an intercom.

"I was trying to survive and he was killing innocent people." Emille tapped his fingers on the wooden bench nervously.

It took a moment for the judge to think and the crowd remained silent.

"We had brought you here and you and the girl were the first ever people to survive the arena." The Judge said. "we will execute you right now." The judge ended.

"Julie!" Emille said. "where is she?!" Emille yelled. Soldiers appeared on either side of the judge.

"I want him killed and bring the dead body to Briston after." The judge said. "I here by announce this case over." The judge stood up.

Over! that was the word! what now? Emille looked around frantically. The soldiers raised their guns at Emille. The crowd began clearing out. Suddenly there was a loud bang follows by another one. The two soldiers fell dead. Run! Emille turned around and ran for the exit.
