The scarlet stripes on the black feathers looked familiar to Emille. That's it! Those birds had been in the arena. Emille out his hands back on to the sphere turning the ship to put it back on course. The ship rumbled and jerked. A massive bird landed on the window sticking it's talons into the window then plunging its beak in the window. Another bird joined in and then another. Emille saw the caravan. It was smoking.

The ships lights flickered for a moment then came back on. The ship jerked and sparks flew out the walls. The birds were ripping the ship apart. Suddenly the front window cracked and one of the birds smashed in spraying glass everywhere. Emille fell over and the ship jerked again. The bird hovered over him trying to dog it's talons into his chest. He was holding it away by its talons and could feel the claws ripping through his skin and his had became wet with blood. The ship slanted one way and the bird hit a wall just before Emille did too.

The lights flickered again. Emille sprung to his feet and ran back to the hanger. He tracked his footsteps back while trying to keep his balance as the ship rumbled, shook, lights flickered and sparks sprayed. Suddenly the lights went out and stayed out. The ship made a low growl and suddenly dropped down so fast Emille was sucked off the floor and his back slammed into the roof then moments later he fell back down. His stomach ached and he found it hard to breathe now. He wrapped an arm around his chest and used the wall to stay up. He found his ways through the halls and stepped into the hanger. He saw the caravan driving along the edge still with speeders on its tail. It was steaming and had lost speed.

Emille took a step back and ran full speed out the hanger aiming for the caravan. Everything went into slow motion. The caravan, the ship behind him, the birds tearing at the wires and the speeders chasing them. Emille fell right into the caravan. He looked out the back as the ship he was just on was smoking badly. He ran to the front and took a seat.

"I took care of the ship." Emille said. The officer was very focused on keeping them on the trail. An explosion rocked the cliff as the ships engines blew and it began to spin out.

"Go faster!" Emille yelled. The officers eyes narrowed as he slid his hand across a control and the speeder picked some speed up quickly. The ship spun directly over them crashing into the cliff and exploding with tremendous force. Pieces of metal and rock rained down on them. The cliff wall crumbled and a massive rock split away from the wall smashing into the path. Emille jumped back and before he could warn the officer it was to late. The caravan hit the rock crumpling the front. The back of the caravan was left half destroyed and they had no weapons. Rocks continued to rain down.

"We gotta go!" Emille said as he stepped out of the caravan on to the path. The edge was only maybe ten meters wide. The officer gave an attempt at restarting the caravan but it was no use.

"Come out with yours hands raised! If you don't come out we will be forced to come in and it won't be pretty!" A voice said through a megaphone.

"C'mon." The officer said. Grabbing Emilles shoulder and pushing him out the caravan. Emille didn't know what to think. He raised his hands and walked forward with the officer right behind him. There were soldiers lined up behind their speeders with their weapons raised. One of them began walking towards Emille.

"Stop moving." The officer whispered to Emille. Emille gave him a confused look but then noticed something coming closer in the distance. He squinted to get a better look but it didn't help. There was nearly twenty metres in between him and the soldiers giving what ever that was enough time to get here.

"What is it?" Emille whispered back.

"When I say jump, imagine the cliff disintegrated and you had to jump." The man whispered back. Then Emille realised what it was. It was a bird. The scarlet striped stood out. Thebird flew right at them so fast no one residues what happened until the bird had one of the soldiers in its talons.

"Jump!" The officer yelled. Emille looked back. He didn't want to. Gun shots began ringing out as the soldiers opened fire at them. The officer ran past Emille, spread his legs as arms apart and jumped. Emille looked behind him as a massive bird flew right at him. He turned around and jumped.
