2 Weeks Later
Emille lay in a pile of hay on the wet concrete floor. A ray of sunshine shone through the small window creating a spot of sun on the ground. The roof dripped slowly with water. Emille just stared up at the ceiling. He had been sitting in this cell for weeks now. No one had answered his questions to who was who and what was what and now he couldn't remember how he got here. He had just woken up in some shabby old cell. He thought about Julie. She had been shot but had she died? He was on a planet now but where? was it earth? no it couldn't be, earth was destroyed right? or was it? Maybe Everything was a dream maybe Emille was dead. He was breathing in oxygen so he had to be on earth.
Maybe Troy was alive still. Maybe kron hadn't died and the nexus had never existed. Maybe he was in the facility somewhere being watched right now. What if this was a test? A test to see how fast they could drive a soldier crazy. Maybe there were secret hidden cameras planted everywhere.
"Hello?" He waved an arm around but got silence in return. Suddenly a shadow of a bird appeared on the floor. Emille looked to see a raven sitting on the small window at the top of the ceiling. Birds? He had to be on earth! He was convinced. What if the ship, the brutes and those security officers were a test. What if Julie wasn't real and she was made just to toy with his emotions. Maybe he had failed that test and this was a new one or maybe he had passed and moved on to the next. Another drop of water fell.
He was parched. He rolled off the hay pile and stood up walking to a small puddle of water that had been formed over the days. He cupped his hands and dipped it in. His hands barely got any water. He got down on all fours and began licking the water from the ground. It was awful. He spat it out spraying the wall. He couldn't do this much longer. He was going to die if they kept him in here. The days were baking hot and the nights were freezing cold. He was in a tank top and pants with no boots or hats. He buried himself in the hay at night but it just blew off at night and he'd freeze. He was amazed how long he had survived.
Suddenly he heard a voice. He looked to the wall of the cell that was thick metal bars which prevented him from leaving. the door was wide open. Troy stood there ushering him out.
"You passed the test Emille, there's still one more." He smiled and Emille smiled back. He got up in excitement finally glad the test was over. He walked to the entrance. His head ached insanely and his knee was yelling in agony. He fell to the ground and heard a few laughs. He looked back to the door. It was locked and closed with no Troy. He was just seeing things. He held his forehead in pain feeling stupid for what he had just done. The laughs stopped.
"That wasn't funny." Emille yelled out getting up and the laughs returned. He picked up a rock on the ground in his cell and chucked it against the wall.
"Shut up!" He yelled. Suddenly a man dressed in an all blue uniform appeared in front of the door as if he had came from no where. He unlocked the cell and walked in. Emille took a few steps back nervously. He remembered these officers on the ship.
"What do you want!" Emille yelled but the officer just continued towards him. He revealed his hands. He was gripping a large syringe in it. Emille looked to the rock on the ground and dove for it. He felt an immense sting rip through his neck as the syringe broke his skin. He felt dizzy and nauseous. He threw up before going unconscious.

Julie woke up dazed and dizzy. Where was she? She tasted sand in her mouth and spat it out with a cloud of dust. She heard a tremendous cheer and her ears ached. It sounded like a million people all cheering at once and it was. She got up and realised what was happening. She was inside a massive arena surrounded by twenty feet stone walls. There must've been at least five hundred thousand people here all cheering at her. It was very loud. She felt the ground shaking and her ears ached not to mention her booming head ache. The crowd was made of people. Humans. How?
A loud voice came through an intercom and stopped the cheers as just like that every one was as quiet as a mouse.
"Julie Minch!" The voice boomed calling her out.
"You are here for acts of terrorism and crime against the planet you know as earth!" It echoed through the arena. Earth? She thought. Wasn't this earth? She didn't understand.
"You will remain in this arena fighting for the rest of your life, you will leave when you die." The crowd roared in excitement. They weren't cheering for her. They wanted to see her die.
The arena was massive. There were animals bones and Skeletons scattered everywhere in the sand. Shields and spears lay in the odd spot too. There were large metal doors around the whole arena. She was only dressed in a track suit. She had no protection.
She heard a rumble behind her. She turned around and saw a metal door sliding open. Sand dropped from it. The door opened and it was completely dark. A creature jumped out. It was small with bright yellow eyes. The same creature that had killed Palmer.
She ran and picked up a spear holding it one hand. The creature growled and sneered as it began walking towards her. The crowd grew louder with every step it took. It was only metres in front of her now. She bent her knees and held the spear ready to throw. She was shaking. She was nervous.
"C'mon." She said to herself. "you make the first move." She whispered to the creature. It stopped and bent its hind legs preparing to jump. Perfect Julie thought.
The feature lunged with foam dropped from its mouth and its claws emerged from its rugged paws. Julie took a step forward releasing the spear. It struck the beast dead in the chest sending it flying the other way. The crowd let out a loud and long: "ohhhh". The creature landed on its back with a spear through its chest. It was dead. Boos rained down on Julie as she bowed smiling.
