My Brother's Best Friends (Luke Hemmings)

Chapter 8

Maddie's POV:

OMG!!!!! Today is the day of Luke and I's date!! I am so nervous and really excited! What sucks though is he didn't tell me where we are going. I guess its kinda a good thing because I kinda like surprises.

Ok. So the only clues I have as to where we are going is that I have to bring a bathing suit. I think we might go to a pool or waterpark or something like that. Ashton has been talking with some girl, I can't remember her name really. I think her name is Ellie. Ain't haven't met her yet, but she seems to make Ashton happy so I am not complaining!

Anyway, back to the topic in mind. As I sit on Ashton and I's couch, watching tv, mostly Dance Moms and Spongebob, I realize that it is 5 and Luke is supposed to pick me up at 6. Oh Crap! I only have an hour to get ready! AN HOUR!!!!

I huredly take a shower and then get dressed into tourqoise shorts and a white blouse. I grab my blue fether earings and sandles. Once I grab my bag, I walk downstairs. I then see that it is 5:45. I still have some time.

I run back upstairs and put some makeup on. I put on basic water proof mascara and eyeliner. I put on a little bit of a natural eye shadow color on and some lipgloss. I want to look good for my first date!! Especially since it's my first date with Luke!

When I am totally done I hear the doorbell and run down the stairs to get it. However, when I reach the door, Ashton already has it open and talking to Luke. I really hope he hasn't said anything embarrasing! Uh-Oh! They are laughing!

"So, when we were little, ahaha- she would grab her hair brush and sing in the mirror! Yet, she still does it, but she doesn't know that I know! Also, she had glasses and her hair was super curly,-OH! and, and she was really, really girly!" Ashton said trying to hold a laugh in. I scoffed and told Luke that I was ready to go on our date.

He grabbed my hand and my heart fluttered and I felt butterflies. I know it's just a small gesture, but somehow, it was really effective on me.

I looked down at our intertwined hands and smiled.

"Oh sorry!" Luke said and took his hand away from mine.

I grabbed his hand and held it again. Then I stopped and looked up at him. This moment was perfect. The sun was shining just right on his face and the wind was blowing enough to move his hair. He just looked sooo kissable.

I saw his eyes flicker down to my lips and back at my eyes. He slowly started to lean in and I closed me eyes, inching closer and closer to his face.

Soon enough our lips were touching and fireworks went off. My stomach felt like a bunch of little butterflies just flew around.

We backed away and looked at eachother.

"Maddie, I have known you since you and Ashton have moved here a couple years ago. You were the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, you still are. Maddie, I love you and I hope that you love me. I guess what I'm trying to get at is, well, will you be my girlfriend?" He looked into my eyes.

Instead of saying anything I cupped his face with my hands and kissed him. His lip ring brushing against my lips felt so good. I soon backed away and looked into his ocean blue eyes.

"Well wasn't that one hell of an answer?" He chuckled and we finished our date.

That night was possibly the best night of my life. I am now happy to call my best friend my boyfriend!
