The House Guest

Mystic Falls High School

Stefan is with Bonnie, Caroline, and Jeremy.

"She's out of the tomb?" Caroline asks.

"Yeah. We're dealing with it, all right? Just be extra careful. She's gotten a little too good at impersonating Elena," Stefan tells them.

"With Katherine still around, we gotta find a way to get your powers back, Bonnie," Jeremy tells them.

"I'll try to help the best I can, but I'm a bit scared to fully tap into all of my power. I don't know a lot of how to handle it," Caroline tells them.

"Listen, I want to get the Martins on our side. I want to figure out a way for us all to work together now that Elijah's out of the picture," Stefan tells them.

"It's impossible. They hate us," Bonnie says.

"It's either win them over or somebody's going to end up dead," Stefan tells them, then asks Bonnie, "You think you can at least convince them to have a civil conversation?"

"I'll try," Bonnie says.

"Thanks. Keep us posted," Stefan says.

Caroline goes to meet up with Alaric and Elena. Alaric is with Elena in his classroom.

"It was bad. You know, John planted all these seeds about Isobel and now Jenna knows I'm lying about something," Alaric tells them.

"John's going to end up dead on the kitchen floor if he's not careful," Elena tells them.

"Yeah, well, easier said than done. I gave him back his ring so...Look, Jenna keeps asking about Isobel. You know, was she murdered? Why haven't they found the body? I mean, how much longer can she stay in the dark?" Alaric tells them.

"You think we should tell her the truth?" Caroline asks.

"I'm saying I can't be with her and not tell her. It's not fair to her, and it's not the kind of relationship I want," Alaric tells them.

"Not to mention it's becoming more dangerous for her not to know. I just thought that we'd at least hold off until after we've dealt with Klaus. You know, and even then, how do we tell someone what we know? How does someone hear that?" Elena tells them.

"Look, I'm just sorry to put this on you. But I feel it's your decision to make. And whatever you decide to do, I'll respect it. I want to be honest with her. But until then, Jenna and I are done," Alaric tells them.

Gilbert Residence

Elena, Caroline, Bonnie and Grace are in the kitchen.

"Chinese food or pizza?" Grace asks.

"Like you have to ask," Elena says.

"I will get it," Grace says.

She takes her tablet computer and sees a picture of her with Matt.

"I'll do it," Caroline says.

She takes the tablet.

"Do you believe that Jonas is being sincere?" Elena asks.

"I don't know what to believe. I think he's at a loss. He's not sure who to trust," Bonnie tells them.

"Join the club," Caroline says.

"Well, what are we going to do about this movie situation? What about "The Notebook"?" Grace asks.

"Grace, how many times have you seen that movie?" Elena asks.

"That is so not the point," Grace says.

"Well, yeah, I mean..." Elena begins.

Jenna enters the kitchen.
