GABRIELS POV

"old friend?! old friend?! thats what you call someone who's baby sister you slept with and then left with not even a phone call?!" She yelled at me and I saw her hands begin to glow.

"Now Janeen... " I said calmly hoping to redirect her frustration. Witches you dont piss off. Werewolves, Lycans theyre easy. Vampires, more annoying than anything. Hell, hunters, mortal enemies but I can kill em. Witches however were vastly underrated.

"oh lets hear it." She said angrily through her teeth

"Tonya and I had an agreement. Its not what it looks like.." I inched closer towards her. "It was just fun while I was in town and she knew that"

"Its been three years Gabriel and you just left her without saying anything. It may have been fun for YOU but she had feelings for you" She said and I watched her lower her hands, her feelings changing from anger at me to sadness for her little sister

I held my hands up in defense. "Janeen, I swear I had no idea she had feelings for me. Last I saw she was married, happy and had a son. She married a human didnt she?" I walked a little closer until I was within arms reach. If she tried anything, I would easily be able to grab her.

Janeen sighed. "She may not have told you, ill give you that. It may have started out as something casual and fun but she quickly developed feelings for you. While you may not have known, you shouldn't have just up and left without saying anything to her"

"youre right. I should have at least said good bye. Im sorry and I would tell Tonya sorry to but she seems happy"

She smiled thinking about her sister and probably her nephew. She looked up at me with a quizzical brow.
"how did you know that? have you seen her? what are you up to Gabriel and why are you here?" She wasnt angry anymore but she was definitely serious in her inquiry.

I pointed around me
"can you get rid of this first? lets get comfortable shall we?"

Janeen snapped her fingers and in an instant it didnt look like her boutique anymore but her home. Her home was small with photos of all her ancestors, a long line of witches, bottles of herbs and potions, a fireplace and antique furniture.
She smirked a little.
"You havent changed a bit. No one else has noticed but then again, no one I've ever met is like you.. So what do we need to talk about?" and she set down lighting the fireplace with another snap of her fingers.
I sat down across from her on the couch.
"well hunters first of all" I said.
She attempted to hide it but the sudden side eye showed she was unnerved by my statement.

"not my problem" she said without looking at me.

"I believe hunters slaughtering your ancestors at Salem is indeed a problem and if my assumptions are correct, you worry about them just as much as I do which is why you're here disguised as a shop owner" I leaned forward calling her on her bullshit.

She quickly turned her head to look at me. "I AM a shop owner, thanks"

"Fair enough" I said leaning back onto the arm of the couch. "Also, my neice and nephew"

She tilted her head back and chuckled. I knew that girl was related to you. I havent met the boy but that girl has a strength and deadliness to her. Just like you. Lets hope her relationship skills are better than yours" She retorted.

"ah so those earrings were yours" I stated.

She looked surprised.
"youve been watching longer than I thought. you can relax Gabriel, theyre just plain earrings. No magic has been infused in them"

I waved my hand, that meant nothing to me.
"Thats all fine and good but tell me.. what did you see when you touched her?"

Her eyes widened but her gaze remained fix on the fire, the light from the flames making her dark skin appear more copper. She brought her elbows to her knees and hands together before finally turning to face me.
