KIARAS POV

"everyone?" asked Alpha Ethan in disbelief.
My uncle only nodded.

"why everyone?" he continued.

My uncle looked down and smiled. That same smirky confident grin I saw when he picked up one of my knives and landed it in the hunters forehead. He was about to either A, prove a point or B exhert dominance and knowing my uncle to be someone of integrity and respect, it was probably the former.

"how many wolves were at the front door when you walked in?" he asked everyone, waiting for one of us to answer. I waited.

"4" I mumbled. He looked to me and smiled.

"how many have walked down the hallway since we've been here?" he asked anyone again.

"I only heard one" I said with little confidence.

"close, two. the other was a child and she was holding him." replied Gabriel.
"very good though Kiara."

"what is in the top right corner of the alphas bookshelf behind us? Without looking please"
It was silent.

"Its General Pattons Principles of Life and Leadership " he said. "Excellent book by the way, Alpha. My point is, If me being able to walk into a kitchen undetected by 4 omegas making breakfast didnt convince you, what about being in a room with 2 alphas, and 3 special operatives warriors who, with the exception of my neice, paid no attention to who was around them upon arrival or while they were in here? Everyone in this pack needs to be alert and know basic self defense at the very least. "

I looked around the room observing everyones faces. They were all deep in thought. My uncle had made his point. Even we were slacking.

"I agree " I volunteered my opinion.

Dustin then spoke up.
"We'll add patrol units at night. Train EVERYONE in basic self defense and ramp up the training of our warriors with more specialized education.Lastly we'll begin exhausting more efforts at gathering intel on Michael"

My uncle stood up. "sounds great. we will start today. ill see you all in an hour." and he left us.

The silence was so thick you could cut it with a knife. We had all been called out.
Finally, Alpha Ethan spoke.
"Dustin, I take it that your uncle will be assisting with training today.. he made a point about his Lycan identity. Lets keep training in the human form today"

Dustin nodded. We all stood up and began to walk out the door. When we left his office my brother and Ryan spoke briefly about dinner tomorrow, some friend that was in town and which one of us would train the omegas in self defense and while who would train the warriors. Dustin left in a hurry to get to the training arena. I began to head in that direction myself when Ryan grabbed my hand and pulled me into a corner beside the stairs.

"oh no you dont" he said playfully and kissing me.

"whats gotten into you?" I was genuinely curious. He was being so playful and carefree. If anyone saw this they would not believe this is Alpha Ryan merciless killer.

"we need to eat. come on, lets get some breakfast before we go. we will need the energy" He led me into the kitchen. By now the kitchen staff had dispersed and we were the only ones there.

"what are you thinking about for breakfast?" he asked from the bottom of the refrigerator.

"how about an omelet?" I said realizing that I actually was hungry.

He peaked his head out from behind the door and as if he was thinking for a moment he quickly smiled and said "excellent choice"

We spent the next few minutes cutting up mushrooms, onions, green peppers and other ingredients together with Ryan randomly stealing kisses and peices of the cheddar cheese I had grated. While waiting for our omelet to cook, he kissed me again.
