Chapter 18

Lizzie p.o.v

We make a quick stop for food before we arrive at the hospital and my stomach is doing back flips I am so nervous as we get out of the car and go inside the main entrance. After the receptionist tells us where to go even after her trying to flirt with both Skylar and Silas who shot her down we headed up to the ward Skylar must have felt my nervousness cuz he gives my hand a gentle squeeze then kisses my forehead. We take a seat in the waiting area then after waiting for 10 minutes before the doctor comes out to give us the news that Gabriel.....my father might not make of through the night he has gained consciousness and is very weak but has asked to see me and Silas so once we get to Gabriel's room Skylar and Dakota wait outside while myself and Silas go in. Its breaks my heart as we see Gabriel lying there hardly moving going on either side of him we approach the bed.

Lizzie - Gabriel?

He slowly turns his head to look at me.

Gabriel - Lizz...ie

He hardly speaks my eyes fill up with tears.

Lizzie - I did this to you I am so sorry.

Gabriel - no don't say that..... (Coughs)

He trys to get up but can't I help him to lie back down.

Lizzie - please save your energy.

Silas - Gabriel I know you should rest but we need to know is lizzie your daughter?

I look up shocked at my brother.

Lizzie - Silas please not now.

I can see in his eyes he wants answers as much as i do but now is not the time Gabriel's voice causes us to look back to him.

Gabriel - he's right you need to know before.......

He stops everyone in the room knows what he was gonna say so after the nurse makes him more comfortable and we sit down on the chairs on either side of him he tells us what happened and how is my father.

Gabriel - 26 years ago me and bonnie has a affair I was young, stupid and horny I meet Bonnie on a night out with my friends she looks so hot and well long story short we had sex in the bathroom.

Silas - very sanitary.

I raise my eyebrow.

Lizzie - that's rich coming from you or did you forget you fucked a girl in the........

Silas - I through we agreed not to speak off that.

He cuts me off making me giggle then I look back to Gabriel who's smiling at us.

Lizzie - please continue

Gabriel - oh yeah anyway (coughs) sorry. After that we kept meeting up and going on dates this went on for a year I had no idea she was married or had a baby that is until I saw her with your dad and a toddler which I am guessing was you Silas I hadn't seen her in about 3 weeks before that. (Cough) I confronted her about it and her words were "he's my husband and my son" but she wasn't done she also said "I am pregnant its yours don't worry I am getting rid of it" then walled out on me. I didn't see her again till a few years ago i don't think she recognised who I was since I have changed such and well you know the rest.

We seat there in silence until Silas starts to speak.

Silas - why I am not surprised at her for that but how did you know lizzie was yours?
