Chapter 15

Something Borrowed.

I am getting ready to go to the resort. I am wearing a White Babydoll Dress and a Strappy Sandals. I figured that there will be not many paper works and I will just observe the staffs at the resort and the renovation for today.

I also have plans with my cousins later. I went outside and drive my car to the resort.

"This is so annoying!" I said to myself since I am stuck in this traffic for an hour.

I finally arrived and got out of the car. Damn. It is so hot outside.

"Good morning ma'am" the staffs greeted me as I come in. I couldn't even greet back because of my annoyance so I just smiled at them.

I dropped my bag at my office, and I started observing my staffs. I also went to check the renovation that they are doing in some of the resort's rooms. The renovation for the event's place is almost done so they started some of the rooms. We still accept guests but not too many.

I continued walking and observe the families having fun. There are bunch of kids running too.

"Ma'am Xena!" someone called me, so I looked back pero pagkalingon ko one of the kids running who is holding a Chuckie on his hand bumped into me.

He spilled some of his drink on my dress. Great! Can this day be any worse?
"Sorry ate sorry" the child said to me and I noticed that he is about to cry.

"It's okay" I said. Well, what can I do? I can't make a scene and shout at our guest and it is kind of my mistake too.

"Hey, ayos ka lang?" Architect, the one who shouted my name which cause me to bump the child, asked me.

"Do I look maayos to you? Huh?!" I said and rolled my eyes.

"Sorry, I'm sorry do you have any extra clothes?"

"Unfortunately, wala"

"Let's go to the souvenir shop then. They sell clothes there that you can use for the meantime"

"Okay, sure"

Architect went to the souvenir shop with me. Good thing it is not that far from where the child bump me.

I'm currently looking for a top. All they have in here is a top with our resort's name. Hindi naman sa pagiging maarte but I do not want to promote my shop when I went out with my cousins later. They will all just tease me!

"Are you done, ma'am?" Architect asked me.

"No, I am done getting some black wide leg cotton pants, but I can't find a top na babagay here"

"There are lots of shirts here ma'am and in different colors"

"I know! I saw it but didn't you hear me when I said that I am looking for a top na babagay here?" I said annoyingly.

"Oh, okay sorry" he said and was about to leave the shop.

"No, no I am sorry, I know there are lots of shirts here in different colors but all of them has a logo or name of our resort I have plans with my cousins later and I do not want them to tease me, but nga they sell some decent wide leg cotton pants here"

"Okay, I understand, if you want, I can let you borrow my white long sleeves, will that be alright?

"No, no nakakahiya, but thanks"

"No ma'am it's okay"

"Really? Then sure!"

"Okay I will just get it on my car"
