Chapter Thirteen

I sat next to Ric, across from Andie who was next to Damon, who was across from Ric. We were seated in a booth at the Grill. I didn't want to come but Damon threatened to pull me out of bed, dress me, and bring me along if I didn't get out of bed.

So I told him I would dress myself and then I did just that. I put on my big girl pants and put on a face smile for Damon and Andie, climbed in Damon's car and let him take us all to the Grill to meet with Ric, who went with Jenna on her trip with Elijah, showing him more properties in Mystic Falls.

"Other than your lecture on Mystic Falls, get anything out of Elijah?" Damon asked Ric.

"No. It was boring. Ugh," Ric complained. "Of course. Jenna thinks he's charming."

"You sound jealous. He sound jealous?" Damon asked.

"Kind of do," Andie answered. Thankfully she did because I was refusing to talk all day. I said a few words to Damon today, "get out. I'll get dress." That was all I've said. I've waved a Ric when we got here and that was it. Not a peep out of me. I wasn't doing it. I was depressed, annoyed, and cranky.

"Maybe we shouldn't talk about this here," Ric said and gave a subtle nod towards Andie.

"Andie? She's been compelled not to divulge my secrets, haven't you?" Damon smiled, wrapping his arm around Andie's shoulder. "Mm-hm," she hummed, as they both leaned in for a kiss. Both making small moaning sounds. Gag.

"My lips are sealed," Andie assured as they pulled away.

"This is too weird," Ric mumbled under his breath, looking at me. I gave him a slight nod in agreement and looked around the Grill, trying to see if Matt was here working.

"I just need the right opportunity," Damon said. "Ah. There's Jenna with her new boyfriend." Everyone looked over to see Jenna and Elijah. "Hey, guys," Jenna greeted, waving frantically over at me. I cracked a smile, got out of my seat, walked around out booth and hugged her.

"Hi," Damon said. "I hear you two had, uh quite a meeting of historical minds."

"Yeah. I guess you could say that," Jenna replied, letting me go. I looked over at Elijah who gave me a warm smile. I gave him a weak wave and stood by Jenna's side.

"Well, as much as I'd like to continue this, I, uh, I've got papers to grade," Ric made an excuse to leave. He threw a note on the table and then the airhead of our group decided to open her dumb mouth. "We should continue this. Let's have a dinner party," Andie suggested.

Let's not. I want to go sulk somewhere. Ric is uncomfortable around you and Damon. He also doesn't want to see Jenna and Elijah around each other any longer. Plus why would Elijah want to go to dinner with us. "Ooh, my girl. Full of good ideas. I'll be happy to host," Damon said. "Say tonight, maybe?"

I saw Ric standing on the otherside of Elijah with his hands behind his back as he looked up at the ceiling. Yup, he was definitely not up for this stupid idea. "It's good for me. Jenna?" Andie said.

"No, I don't know if tonight works-" Ric began answering for her.

"Yeah, I'm free," Jenna smiled, cutting him off. Ooh. Trouble in paradise. Ouch.

"It would be a pleasure," Elijah smiled cutely. Aw. He was adorable when he smiled. He was secretly a teddy bear. I could tell. "Great," Damon smiled widely. It was fake though. I could see right through him.

"Wait now. What about you, Georgie?" Jenna asked.

"She'll be there," Damon answered.

"Are you sure?" Jenna asked, looking at me.
