I start panicking for a second. Lily was right here and now she's gone. I go down stairs to see if she's down there and when I look out the window at the front of my house I see Lily trying to get into my car. My panic feeling turns into relieved disappointment. She really snuck out of my window and was going to interrogate George without me.

Thankfully she was in such a hurry that she forgot to grab the keys.

I take the car keys from the kitchen counter and open the front door. Lily hears the sound of the door opening and tries finding somewhere to hide but it's no use. She's been spotted.

"Did you really think you could sneak out of MY house without ME knowing?" I say sternly as I cross my arms

"Look, I know I shouldn't have tried to figure out what's going on without you and I'm sorry for that and for getting mad at you earlier." Lily says. "I don't suppose you have the keys do you?"

"Of course I do." I say with a smile taking the keys out of my pocket. "And apology accepted now lets go interrogate George before anybody else can."

I unlock the car and both Lily and I get into my car. I back out of the driveway and I start driving down the road and we approach a stop light up ahead. I start anxiously tapping my fingers on the steering wheel.

'How do I tell Lily about me and Ronnie? I should be straightforward with it and just tell her.'

"So...you know how you said that you think Roni likes me." I start to say. "Well we may possibly be currently dating."

"I knew it!" Lily says as she turns towards me. "I had a feeling you guys got back together. Oh, and next time you try to have a secret relationship without me knowing please try to make it less obvious." She tells me as a smirk appears on her face.

My mouth drops open and I scoff. I turn and face towards the front and the light turns green. After a few minutes of blasting music and singing along to the lyrics we make it to George's house.

We get out of the car and Lily and I notice that George's light is on in his room. Lily finds a rock and throws it at the window.

George looks out his window and sees we're standing in his driveway. He quickly motions that he's coming down to meet us out front and soon enough we hear the door open and close.

"What are you guys doing here?" George asks a lot more calmly than he did at the stadium.

"We just wanted to know what was going on with you and Ronnie." Lily asks calmly.

"So, I'm assuming he didn't tell you why I reacted like that. Typical. He never likes to acknowledge his problems never has. I'll tell you but only if this stays between us."

Lily and I agree. We all sit on the sidewalk as George begins to tell us about his side of what happened.

"Everything all started back during the end of spring break I believe. Stephaine and I started hanging out more and our relationship turned into more than just a friendship. And the more and more we kept seeing each other the more our feelings grew for each other. Ronnie and I stopped hanging out and he probably thought something was up because he hadn't really heard from Steph either. So, one night after spring break had ended we were hanging out like usual and if i'm being honest, I don't know why I let our relationship go on so long because she kept telling me she was going to break up with him but she never did. Well, until he barged into my house and caught us kissing in my bedroom. He flipped out, even punched a hole in my wall and then, when Steph started crying and was trying to calm him down. He looked her dead in the eyes, called her a whore and slapped her right across the face. I HATED him after that moment and I still do. He had NO right to do that to her." George wipes away some of the frustrated tears that keep falling from his eyes as he continues.

"I loved her, I still do. And now...I don't even know if she's okay or...alive. She went missing I think a couple weeks after that happened and I haven't been able to get in touch with her since."

"Wow, all of that happened right under our noses and we didn't know. Well now it all makes sense what Steph was hiding now you can stop worrying about it all Lily." I say, relieved that we can now leave Stephaine in the dust where she belongs.

Lily stays silent. She's probably processing everything George has just said until she gets a phone call. Lily answers her phone and I see that it's Jamal. A guy Lily had feelings for but things didn't exactly work out for them. They're still good friends but it's weird for him to call because he says 'talking on the phone is awkward.'

"Hey, are you with Kamrin?" I hear Jamal say because Lily put him on speaker.

"Yeah, why?" Lily says as she turns and looks at me.

"Because the police found Steph... 's body...and they want all of us to come down to the station for questioning."

Lily and I freeze and George is at a loss for words. He is completely in shock. Not saying a word. Stephaine was murdered and the police think that one of us. Someone needs to figure out who the killer is before someone else gets murdered in cold blood.
