Chapter Thirteen:

Lily locks the door on the way out of the house and I help Marcus over to the cars.

"Thanks." Marcus says.

"You're welcome."

Lily and Mason walk over towards the group and everyone is silent for a moment. Trying to process what just happened.

"Okay what do we do with Ronnie until they get here?" I ask. "Toby isn't gonna get away with anything either. You're probably going to get locked up right along with him, Toby."

"Possibly, but he might be able to say that Ronnie blackmailed him into doing his dirty work. You might have to do some form of community service though." Lily says defending Toby as usual.

The police arrive shortly after the incident and Detective Andrews and Detective Anderson get out of their police cars and start asking questions.

"Where is the killer???" Detective Anderson asks enthusiastically.

"He's in the house." Lily replies.

Detective Anderson goes into the house to search for Ronnie while Detective Andrews confiscates the murder weapons that were used.

Well, except Toby's of course because apparently we decided to let him get away with the murders that he committed. But, he could also rat us out about the crimes that we committed as well. So, I guess pretty much everyone is guilty. Except Marcus and Mason. They're innocent as far as I'm concerned.

We all get questioned about what happened and everyone tries to tell the same story. Especially Toby because out of all of us he's the most guilty.

Detective Anderson comes out of the house and Ronnie is nowhere to be found.

I start to get concerned, there's no way he could have escaped the house because Lily locked the door after she left. Plus, he's wounded and if he did escape he couldn't have gone far.

"Where is Ronnie at?" Lily asks.

"He wasn't in the house." Detective Anderson says. "Are you positive he was in the house???"

"I'm positive, I even locked up the house to make sure he didn't get out." Lily replied.

"Well, you must have forgotten to lock the back door because there's a trail of blood that leads out the back door and then some footprints leading into the forest." Detective Anderson explains. "I think we should just leave him out there. He's wounded, Has no weapons, and if he doesn't bleed to death some animal might eat him."

"I'll just leave a wanted poster up for his arrest if someone does find him." Detective Andrews concludes.

After everything is figured out, Marcus, Lily, and I are rushed to the hospital while Donna, Mason, and Toby all go back to Mason's house since pretty much everybody's else's houses are crime scenes.

Stephaine's case closes because nobody has found Ronnie and they took down wanted posters for him as well. Marcus and I didn't start dating but, we're...we're complicated. Just like Toby and Lily. How convenient, my best friend is dating a murderer. Well, not quite dating but, you know. Everything went back to normal for the most part. Well until Lila Winters came back...
