Lily, George, and I get into my car and head down to the police station. The car ride is filled with silence and suspense. When we pulled up to the police station, we all got out of my car and walked through the double doors of the station. We saw that everyone else was already there. Marcus, Ronnie, Mason, Riley, Stacy, Donna, Toby, and of course Jamal was there too.

Everyone was gathered in the waiting room as we all sat there patiently waiting to be called in the questioning room. An officer comes out of the questioning room and calls for 'Riley Linsdale.' All of us remain silent as everyone anxiously waits for the next person to enter.

I look over at George and he looks completely numb. His eyes lock stare blankly at the ground with a cold stare. Tears that he silently cried are now dried on his face as he remains sitting in the chair next to me.

Motionless.

Riley comes out of the questioning room and Ronnie is called in next. He looks at me solemnly as he turns towards the room, the door shutting behind him. Ronnie comes back out of the questioning room and the officer calls George in.

Marcus gets called in after him and Mason after him. After Mason comes out of the questioning room and the officer calls for Lily.

She looks up from the ground with anxiety stained across her expression. She gets up from her seat and walks towards the doors. The door shuts behind her and I wait for her to come out anxiously.

Everyone that's left in the waiting room is Donna, Stacy, Toby, Jamal, and me. Everybody else left the station and went home.

Lily walks out of the questioning room and we look at each other as we cross paths. With me entering the questioning room and her exiting out of the station. I enter the room and sit down at the only available chair at the table as Detective Anderson and Detective Andrews gather all my files.

"So, Kamrin Calens. When exactly did you notice that the famous Stephaine Martin was seeming different from her normal self?" Detective Anderson asks inquisitively.

"I noticed that she seemed off around the time of spring break and after spring break as well." I tell the Detectives.

"How exactly was she acting? Specifically?" Detective Anderson persisted.

"She was acting anxious a lot of the time. She was also acting skittish or paranoid. Lily and I didn't know why but we just left everything alone because we assumed everything would get back to normal." I return.

"So, would you say that you and Lily Bryans spent the majority of your time together during this break?" Detective Anderson asks very inquisitively.

"Yes." I reply.

"Hmmm interesting. Well, okay then Kamrin you are free to go we may call you back down to the station if you're needed for more questioning." Detective Anderson concludes.

I walk out of the station and meet Lily who is sitting on the sidewalk by the car. We get back into my car without George this time because he left with Ronnie. I guess they made up or something. I drive out of the parking lot, leaving the police station behind as I drive over to Lily's house.

"Do you think someone from our friend group could have done it?" I ask curiously.

"I'm not sure, but anyone can be capable of anything with the right motive so I guess we'll just have to wait for Steph's case to unfold." Lily replies back as she looks out the window.

As the questions about Stephaine's case flood my mind, I try to focus on just what we're gonna do about getting the killer. I drive up Lily's driveway, park the car, and Lily and I walk up the step to the front entrance.

Lily grabs the house key out of her pocket and goes to unlock the door but right as she goes to insert the key, we notice that the door is cracked open already.

Lily and I look at each other and we slowly open the door more. Slowly but surely we open the door all the way as we check around the entryway to see if we can see anyone lurking in the house.

Lily and I decide to split up and check around more to see if we can find anyone hiding anywhere. Lily says she's going to check upstairs and she tells me to check downstairs.

We go our separate ways and I check everywhere I can possibly think of but I can't find anyone anywhere. I check the garage, the last place to see if I can find anyone when I hear the door handle start to move.

I freeze in my track and right as I turn around.

WHAM!

I get hit with something and with a loud thud my body hits the ground and I go unconscious.
