I opened my eyes to a searing pain around my wrists and dull sunshine streaming in through the Eastern window wall in Draco's room. I was on my side and I could feel his bare arm around my waist and his breath on my neck, up to my shoulder in all black bedding that I hadn't seen in some time.

I tugged at my chained hands in agony, recalling the look on Narcissa's face of disappointment and fury at the destruction of her home, and Draco's unheard of rage as he'd attacked me into constraints like I was a hideous hag that had wandered into their midst.

Now that the dark mark was gone I was flooded again with a rainbow of uncontrollable emotions. I turned my face into the black satin pillow and wept about the disaster unfolding. I had lost control of my life again, and it was now a battle between Ascelin and Draco over who could have that control. For years now I had been nothing but a pawn for people to fight over ownership to, and when I had finally felt invincible and independent the rug had been torn out from below my feet.

Draco sat up and I felt him lean over me, shaking my ribs, "Talk."

I peered up at him and lifted my wrists which were red and bruised gruesomely. His eyes scanned the broken skin, "I forgot to prevent them from getting any tighter." He shook out his platinum hair which still was discoloured from running through fiery hallways, and pointed his wand at the cuffs.

We both watched as they clicked simultaneously open, and I proceeded to toss the metal rings violently across the room and roll over defensively with my back to him again. My magic flooded back into my system like an electric shock, and my hair danced ever so slightly off of my thin frame.

"Not speaking to me now?" he asked in an irate tone. He snaked his hand under the covers and pulled out one of my wrists to inspect it. I didn't fight, laying there like a deceased body as he repaired my injuries one at a time, dragging his sleek wand against the skin then kissing each wrist.

He sighed when I continued to curl away from him grumpily. He dropped his forehead into my turned shoulder, kissing my skin tenderly, "I've missed waking up beside you." I felt his hand wander down to my hip and squeeze.

"And I already miss my freedom," I immaturely replied. I should have kept him involved the whole time, but I'd thought I could work through it with less drama if I faced my meetings with Nott and Ascelin alone. Now, I'd nearly allowed Ascelin to burn down the Manor and they would never trust me again to sleep cuffless or alone at night.

"Well that's just too bad, because you've been a seriously sinful young lady," he laughed in a sultry tone, moving to kiss my neck. My senses were pervaded by his breath and the scent of his piney bed.

I felt his hand toying with my panties over my dress and I quickly grabbed it to stop the teasing. He was pressing up against me and it was obvious that both of our blood had started to pound in each other's arms.

I squirmed in his hold, too proud to give in. "Stop," I whispered with hardly any sincerity.

He kissed the corner of my mouth which had started to curl in amusement, "You don't want me to, I can tell." He lifted his hand and brushed my hair down my neck so he could kiss my cheek slowly and sweetly, his pointy nose pushing into mine. "Come on doll face, just one kiss." My eyes caught his sensational silvery ones staring down at me, and I found myself gradually turning over to face him completely and slinging my arm over his neck.

We nudged our noses together and our lips graced each other's sensually. He smiled, tugging me into him by the small of my waist, "Is that a yes?" His eyes fluttered, watching mine intently. He breathed heavily and eagerly, and I took the opportunity to peel out of his bed in one swift movement.
