(With Shikamaru)

As Shikamaru watched Naruto fight there was something familiar about it, like he had seen it before but not here, in his dreams. He'd been having nightmares about a war, something like a life before his now?

No, that's not possible, unless...No, they can't be. But it would make a lot of sense, Naruto changed suddenly one day out of the blue. I'll need to ask my father about this or maybe Gaara would know. Where did that thought come from, I don't know anyone named Gaara.

He could only hope he was right or maybe he was just plain crazy.

Shikamaru sighed. Naruto's match was over pretty quickly, and then it was his turn to fight. He ended up winning but had little Chakra left, he wouldn't be able fight effectively in another match, so he forfeited.

As Shikamaru made his way to a viewing point he passed Naruto. Shikamaru felt Naruto touch his shoulder and Shikamaru's Chakra was restored, Shikamaru looked at Naruto who didn't seem to notice as he walked away, it seemed like a natural thing for Naruto to do.

'What the hell was that about?' Shikamaru thought as he realized what had happened. 'Why would Naruto do that?'

Sasuke's match was called a few times before he showed up, then Shikamaru noticed something else, the guy Sasuke was fighting, his name was Gaara.

'This isn't happening, I'm just going crazy.' Shikamaru thought to himself. What made it worse was feathers started falling from the sky. 'Genjutsu.' Sakura had made him get up, telling him he had to help Naruto who had run off to try and stop the rampaging Jinchuuriki. Shikamaru reluctantly went to help him, he didn't know how he knew Naruto could handle it himself, but he did.

Sakura had gotten pinned to a tree by sand and Sasuke was out cold, though when he looked at Naruto, it looked like he was talking to the Jinchuuriki, who calmed down and turned back into a human.

Without a warning a snake like head comes out of nowhere and bites Sasuke's shoulder leaving a make in its place, and then it's gone again.

'What was that?' Shikamaru thought.

"Is everyone ok?" Shikamaru asked after seeing Naruto catch Sakura as she started to fall from the sand.

"All good. Kind of, Sasuke's not." He heard Naruto yelled back.

Shikamaru walked into the clearing fully.

"I'll take Sakura, you mind getting Sasuke?" Naruto said/asked Shikamaru.

"What about him?" Shikamaru asked putting Sasuke on his back.

"He means no harm, it wasn't his choice to do this." Naruto told him, Shikamaru nodded and they walked back to the Village, finding it in destruction. They went to the hospital hoping to find some help.

It wasn't until later that day they found out the Third Hokage was dead.

Surprisingly Naruto had convinced Shikamaru to help them rebuild, this not only surprised Shikamaru himself but everyone else as well.

Shikamaru looked around for a minute, and got the feeling that all of this had happened before except this time it had something to do with Naruto.

(With Tsunade)

'Damn it. I never wanted this to happen again.' Tsunade thought to herself as she looked at Naruto, who was helping rebuild the Village with Shikamaru. 'At least he's got Shikamaru.' She smiled a small smile and went back to the Senju compound. Naruto told her the plan for Jiraiya, she would wait there until Naruto came back. They wanted to see how far they could push it until Jiraiya got his memories back, if he did.
