jake drives in their newly rented car. it's nice and clean. maps open on his phone shay's knew fidgets uncontrollably. "now turn right."
"shay, you sure u wanna do this?" jake gives off a serious tone. she doesn't answer, for obvious reasons. she was nervous to say the least. "we could just book a hotel and then book a flight back home in the morning."
she smiles sweetly at her brother, "thanks jakey, but." she sighs as the car stops in front of a house. it was an ordinary looking house. "here we are."
the front door opens almost immediately. the two shoot their heads, the lights are on. it's a figure of a girl who walks out and lands at the door step. muffled mumbles as she walks off into -assuming- her car. the boy waves as the car drives away. and walks back into the house and closes the door shut.
jake glares at the girl in wanting to comfy her. she keeps a smile on her face, while he could see the glisten like crystal clear ice. "ok." she shakily inhales then exhales steps out of the car.
the girls breath was unsteady as she made her way up to the front concrete steps. she noticed a drawn in, no soliciting :), sign with the smile and all. a knock at the door. it takes a second or two until the door opens.
it was karl inevitability, but he didn't look as she envisioned. with a gleeful smile and blush after his lovely date. no. his eyes showed the same glisten as hers, but still a smile after him opening the door.
shay nervously smiles. "hi- i'm sorry if this-"
she couldn't even finish her sentence. karl couldn't help but feel so overwhelmed by the fear in her eyes, their lips touched. they smiled through it, it was hard not too.
he pulled away with that smile, she uses her thumb to wipe off his tears. "sorry- i just-" he smiles genuinely out of words. "if you saw her leave, i'm sorry. once she left i- i just knew that. all i wanted to be with you."
karl tightening his grasp on her hips pulling her in for a tight hug. shay gives him a small peck. "jakes just an omnipotent god."
immediately let's go. "jakey?! my boyfriend?!"
shay laughs, "yeah yeah, he's outside."
"BRO!!" jake screams from the car.
karl runs out of the house without shoes, but with socks. "JAKEYYYY!!"
