Chapter 6: movies

Caroline's P.O.V
When we got to the movie theatre, there weren't a lot of people there. We decided to go see the movie 'Ouija'. It was a scary movie and I love them! I went to go pay for my ticket but Chandler already payed for it.

"You know I have money" I said to him, I felt bad I could've payed.

"Yes I do, but I wanted to pay" He says giving me a smirk.

"Fine, but I'm paying for the food!" I tell him as his phone goes off and he looks at it.

"Is it okay if my friend Sam meets up with us, he's really close to here and I haven't hung out with him in a while.." He tells me.

"Yeah that's totally fine!" I find that really nice of him, because now a days boys pick girls over their friends.

After waiting a couple minutes his friend Sam walks in, gets his ticket and comes over to us. Sam has blond hair and braces, I have to admit... He's pretty cute. Wait no, Mingus.

"Hey Sam, this is Caroline." Chandler introduces me.

"Hi" I say kinda awkwardly.

"Heyy, nice to meet you." He says to me. I responded with 'thanks, you too'.
I went and quickly paid for the snacks, I got popcorn and m&m's. The boys bought their drinks.

We walked into the theater. I saw a boy who looked familiar he was with a girl so it couldn't have been him. Chandler noticed too. He walked over to them. And there he was. Mingus with another girl... I thought he liked me though? I know we aren't dating or anything but this still hurt me... A lot. He also lied to me! He said his dad wanted to go home.. He was surprised to see Chandler and Sam. Then I walked over awkwardly. Mingus's expression just showed surprised and sorrow. I feel that sorrow part is bull shit though. He knew I wanted to come to the movies. I just quickly looked away when he tried to look at me.

"Um we should go find seats.." I say with a shaky voice. I can't show that I'm hurt though. Me, Sam and Chandler finally find some seats. It took us a while because there were some fan girls here. We all sat down. Me in the middle, Chandler to my left and Sam to my right.

"You okay?" Chandler asks me.

"Yup, I'm fine." I saw lying. Thank gosh I'm a good actress. I never show anyone if I'm sad, I just do what I do best... Act. The only time I'll cry is if it's something about my dad.

A couple minutes into the movie it really hit me. Mingus has a new girl in his life, and that wasn't me. I know we've haven't known each other not long, just I really liked him. I could talk about anything with him. He already knows about my dad, which is rare for me to talk about.

"I'll be right back, I gotta go to the bathroom" I tell the boys.

"I'll come" says Chandler.

"No...I'll be fine." I tell him quickly and I get up and walk out.

On my way out I look to see Mingus and that girl. I expect to see them holding hands or he has his arm around her or worse, them making out or something. But none of that. He's kinda looks sad and doesn't look like he's paying attention to the movie. When I get out, I start to think. Is this a misunderstanding? Does he not want to be with her? No, he would've said something. I just can't go back in there. I'll think too much. The sets not to far from here, me and Chandler walked... I'll be good. I walk out of the building and start to head back, I hope my mom found somewhere for us to say.

I've been walking for like 10 minutes now, I should be there soon. Shit, I forgot to tell Chandler I left. I'll just text him.

From: Caroline
Hey, I left. But don't worry about me I'm all good, I'm just walking back to the set then I'm going to go home. Thanks for the movie though!

I slip my phone back into my pocket and keep walking.

Chandlers P.O.V
I was watching the movie when I heard my phone go off.

I was surprised when I saw it, I knew we had to go find her or make sure she's okay. I show Sam the text and he agrees with me. We quickly run out of the theater.

Caroline's P.O.V
Okay... I'm lost. And it's dark out. Great.

Mingus's P.O.V
I couldn't stop thinking about Caroline. I needed to tell her I didn't want to be with this girl, I just told Anna(the girl) that I would go to the movies with her, like a week ago. That was before I met Caroline.

I saw Caroline run out. I hope she's okay, hell what am I think. If she did like me she would be so hurt. I was going to get up when Anna grabbed my arm because she was 'scared'. I don't want to be here, or at least with her.

It's been like 20 minutes and Caroline hasn't come back. I'm starting to worry. I then saw Chandler and Sam practically run out of the theater we were in. That got me worried a lot. I have to go.

"Anna, I got to go sorry bye." I tell her.

"What it's not over yet?!" She says with her annoying voice.

"Yeah I'm leaving, your staying" I said to her kinda rude but I just want to see if Caroline is okay. Before she can say anything I leave.

I run out and see Chandler and Sam running out the door. With a couple girls trying to get a picture with Chandler.

"CHANDLER AND SAM!" I yell to get them to stop. Which they did.

"What" Chandler says kinda rude. "Shouldn't you be back with your date?!" He spat at me.

"One I didn't want to be there, two she wasn't my date, and three I want to know where Caroline's is?" I tell them.

"That's why we are here, we are looking for her." He told me.

"Why would she leave?!" I ask them and they both just shrug.

Is this become of me? Did I do this? I hope she's okay. I need to make things right.

After of 20 minutes of walking we get to the set. I see my dad and Mrs. Wakefield (Caroline's mom) talking. All three of us run over.

"Where's Caroline?!" Me and Chandler say in unison.

"Um she said she was going to the movies with Chandler" she says worried.

"She's not here?!" Chandler says.

"No! She supposed to be with you!" She tells Chandler, mad but mostly worried about Caroline.. Along with me.

All of us just look at each other not knowing what to do. Caroline's mom has already called her but no answer. She is really starting to freak out. Ugh! I'm so stupid! If I didn't lie to her, or go to the movies, this might not be happening! Stupid, stupid, stupid.

"We need to look for her" I say and they all agree with me.

I get into my dad's car with him. Chandler and Sam go with Mrs. Wakefield. Both our cars go into different directions. I really hope we find her soon. I know she's probably okay, just I know she's new here so she knows where nothing is! Right when I find her I'm going to tell her everything was a misunderstanding, and that I like her. Oh please god let her be okay.
