what sam would rather have

Angst: tw mentions of suicide, cheating, manipulation.

Sam wakes up to bucky being away from there bed. Sam gets up and walks out of there room to the living room and sits next to bucky. "Hey Jamie." Sam kisses his cheek.

Bucky doesn't look up from his book. He was  reading The Hobbit. James seems to be very invested in it. In reality he's thinking about something, or someone else.

Sam shrugs it off. "I'm going to make breakfast." Sam got ignored again and goes to the kitchen and starts to make breakfast.

Bucky then takes out his phone and starts texting someone. He had star struck eyes the eyes that bucky used to have talking to sam well before Steve left.

Sam walks in. "You want breakfast." Bucky didn't even look up. "No I already ate." Sam nods. "Oh okay." Sam sounded disappointed and goes back in the kitchen to eat alone.

This goes on for week5ths.

Sam looks at bucky. "Are you cheating on  me." Sam was worried and fidgets with his fingers.

Bucky looks up at him. "No why would you think that." Bucky may be being selfish but he needs sam, but maybe he should of thought of that before he cheated on sam.

Sam looks at him. "You have been so off lately and you haven't been yourself and im worried."Sam looks at him kinda sad.

Bucky shakes his head. "Your just being paranoid i would never lie to you." Bucky pulls his down next to him and wraps his arms around the other and kisses his head.

Sam smiles and cuddles him. "Yeah you are right." Sam looks at him. "Want to go on a date."

Bucky shakes his head. "No we just went on one." Bucky seems to not be fully paying attention.

Sam looks confused. "No we didn't we haven't been on one it weeks." Sam gets worried again.

Bucky looks at him. "Yeah we did the other day what are you talking about are you okay are you losing your memory."

Sam shakes his head. "But we did-" Bucky cuts him off. " we did i know it dont lie." Sam looks at him and nods. "Okay i believe you."

Sam was walking to the store until he saw bucky with someone else and they were making out. Sam stopped in his tracks and looks at them. "Some boyfriend you are."

Bucky looks over. "Its not what it looks like!" Sam rolls his eyes. "It looks like your tongue was down some other persons throat dont expect to see me tonight." Sam dropped the groceries and walks away and walks to the avengers tower since he didn't know where else to go and when bucky and Sam moved in together they moved closer to the tower. Sam walks to his room. "Friday dont let anyone in my room especially bucky." Sam was crying and not knowing what to do. "I wish nat and Steve where here to help."

Sam spent weeks in the tower every so often bucky would try to talk to him

Bucky knocks on sams door. "Please let me talk." Sam throws something at the door. "No I dont want to fucking hear it you lied to me and im not letting you do that again!" Bucky moves back. "I'm not going to lie and I dont expect you to forgive me-" Sam rolls his eyes. "Then save it."

"But sam-" Bucky got cut off. "I said save it James." Bucky looks shocked he hasn't been called James by sam ever. "I'm sorry honestly." Sam was crying. "I dont want to hear it you cheated on me and now won't listen to me." Sam gets up opens the door and pushed him out of his way. "I dont want to talk to you, you hurt me." Bucky was shocked. "But darling." Sam looks at him. "Dint call me that im not your darling you lost that when you cheated." Sam goes to the kitchen and makes himself food. Bucky goes over. "I love you though." Sam throws something next to the other. "Go tell that to the guy then."

Bucky looks at him. "But I dont love him i love you." Sam sighs. "I wish I could say I don't also love you but im not a liar." Sam finished making his food. "But I still don't want to fucking see you again you hurt me more than you even know!" Sam started crying again.  Bucky felt bad. "I'm sorry." Sam cries more. "Why did you come  anyway." Sam ended up on the floor. Bucky goes over and tried to wrap his arms around him. Sam slaps him. "Dont you fucking touch me." Bucky looks shocked. Sam gets up. "I dont know why you aren't listening to me I thought you loved me" Sam goes to his room and slams his door and locks his room. Sam mumbles to himself a bunch and bucky leaves the house. _________________________________________

Sam was in a better mood and invited the rest of the avengers to the tower he did invite bucky. Thor comes in. "Thanks for inviting me son of will." Sam smiles. "Of course thor." Then the rest of the avengers came in and the party starts. "Its not going to be as great as one as Tony's old ones but it will be the best we can have." Clint looks at him. "I'm sure it will be amazing." Sam nods and sits. "Thank you all for coming." Sam looks away from bucky when he sits by him. Bruce looks at them. "Did something happen." "Not really-" Sam rolls his eyes. "Yes it did." Sam glares at bucky then downs a beer. Clint sighs. "What happened." Sam gets another beer. "Someone is a filthy cheater and apparently doesn't know what I dont want to talk to you means." Bucky looks away. "I said im sorry." Sam downs another one not responding.

Clint, Thor, Bruce, strange, Carol, wanda, and t'challa help chear up Sam. Well Sam got wasted and past out then Thor took him to his room and left with Bruce. Carol got picked up by Brunnhilde. Clint drove home since he didn't drink. Strange Portaled home. Wanda stayed at the tower to help the next day. Bucky also got wasted so stayed.

When Sam woke up he left and went to the kitchen to find wanda fighting with bucky. "You cheated on him no you can't go and take care of him!" Wanda was getting kind of mad. Sam looks at them. "Yeah I wouldn't want you to take care of me james." Sam put take care of me in air quotes then got aspirin and drank coffee. Wanda goes and brings Sam to a different room and they talked until wanda left.

Bucky goes to Sam. "I said im sorry." Sam just ignored him. Bucky sighs. "What more do you want." Sam glares at him. "I want you to leave me alone and never talk to me again!" Bucky started to leave. "Fine!" Sam mumbles "finally." Then goes to his room and never saw bucky again.

Or that's what Sam would rather have happen because at least he wouldn't feel like its his fault. It was the one year anniversary of buckys death. He committed suicide after Steve left and sam blames himself since he as buckys boyfriend couldn't save him even though thats his job. Sam never moved on from bucky but stayed alive for his friends family and the world. He became the new captain America until he retired and gave the shield to his nephew. Sam quietly passed in his sleep. At least he's with his best friends and last love.
