The bus comes to a stop."Here I am! Now, where the hell is platform 9 3/4." I whisper to myself as my eyes search the station for some help.
"Hello sir, could you help me find platform 9 3/4 please." I smile to the Direction guy, or whatever he was.
"Every year you darn kids ask me, wHerEs pLAtfoRm 9 3/4" he mocks.
"Tell me kid do you see a platform 9 3/4? No, so it Doesn't exist." He turns away from me to help a couple."Just like your hairline." I roll my eyes and walk off, feeling proud of my cringe worthy comeback.
"Come on Sirius darling, you don't want to run into any muggles.." this lady from up ahead continues to blabber on to her son's about being Slytherin and making her proud, honestly it was so boring to listen too, but they knew where platform 9 3/4 was, so I had to put up with it as I followed.
I continued to follow them and I realised I recognise the lady, maybe the younger boy to, but I can't figure out where from.Sometimes I'm glad I don't have my parents, all that fear to disappoint them, I wouldn't handle that well.
I followed them into the wall, the one professor Dumbledore told me about when he informed me I was attending hogwarts. It took me to the train. I lost them after that.
I enter an empty stall and begin to read.
I enjoy reading, it's my escape from the world, I never was good at making friends, it's my fault though, I'm not that talkative... im not shy, just not very approachable to most people.
I've just always wanted the adventure, the love that's so pure it's only ever fictional, and I can have it in books. My stall stays empty until door burst open, and a girl came rushing in. She ignored me, rushing to the window, pressing her hands against the glass and waving frantically at her family standing on the platform. She was small and pale, with bright red hair, freckles all over her like she was kissed by the sun. Her face blotchy and her eyes rubbed red from crying.
She kept waving as the train drew away, and her parents waved back, blowing kisses. Then she noticed me.
"Do you mind if I sit." She smiled awkwardly, I could tell she didn't know anyone, just like me.
"Not at all, I'm Maeve, Maeve Ashford." I reach out my hand for her to shake.
"Lilly, Lilly Evans." She took my hand, Trying to hide her tears.
Its a pretty long trip, but the chocolate frogs make the ride better.

I stay with Lilly as we walk into hogwarts
"Welcome to Hogwarts," said Professor McGonagall. "The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats in the Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses.
While you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts.
You will have classes with the rest of your house, sleep in your house dormitory and spend free time in your house common room.
'The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points.
At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup, a great honour. I hope each of you will be a credit to whichever house becomes yours.
'The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. I suggest you all smarted yourselves up as much as you can while you are waiting."Nervous?" Lilly whispered, as we all walked towards the dining hall
"Yep." My voice cracked a little, all eyes fell on us when we walked through the hall.
"Sirius black." Professor McGonagall called out.
He walked to this old, dusty hat. Confident as ever, and within seconds he was placed in Gryffindor.
"Regulus black."
The hat was barely placed on his head before the hat placed him in Slytherin.
"Amara hale."
She took a minute but was place in Slytherin.
After a few more people were sorted, including Lilly who's in Gryffindor, it was my turn.
"Very difficult, you're eager to prove yourself, determined to be the best, but you certainly have you wits about you, you're kind put your loved ones first, but what value is loyalty, adventure, and friendship.
Where to put you.Small chatter breaks out over the fact that I'm a hat stall.
I look over at Lilly."Please be Gryffindor." I think.
" I see then, better be... Gryffindor!" It calls out.
Cheers fill the room as I sit next to Lilly.
"Hi I'm James potter." He grabs my hand excitedly.
"Maeve Ashford." I smile back with a cheerful voice as I shook his hand.
"And this is Peter, Sirius and Remus."
I remember poor Sirius from train station, he got Gryffindor, not Slytherin probably, why he looks a little glum, and by a little, I mean absolutely mortified.
"Hey Maeve, do I know you by any chance?" The freckled boy asked.
"Yep, I go to st Edmunds too." I replied with a shrug.
"Oh cool." I could tell he felt awkward because he was rude to me.
I look over at the dark haired boy again, now having a name put to his face.
"You're Sirius black?" I look at him a little confused.
"Yeah? Why?"
"Oh I know your mum that's all." I smile awkwardly, fiddling with the skin over my knuckles nervously.
He nods, a little concerned, but I brush it off.
A old man in white taps his glass and the room falls silent.
"I'm so glad to see so many new faces and can't wait to see the amazing witches or wizards you will become. But I know your all hungry so let the feast begin." He said bluntly, in that old, wisdom filled voice.
Food of all different kinds appears over all the tables
I grab some baked potatoes and sausages I was starving after the long trip here, everyone else was too.IMPORTANT!!
