Maeve laid back comfortably on Amara's bed, letting her dark hair out and wrapped herself in the sheets.

"What do you plan to do for Christmas holidays next week." Amara whispered, both of the girls in a daze of calm after waking up together.

Maeve let out a small sigh.
This time last year she still had all her friends, her boyfriend, and the thought of the wizarding war was far from her thoughts.
Now, she hadn't spoken to James or Sirius in months, she could barely look at Remus, and not only was the war her every second thought, but she was a death eater.

"Dunno." She rolled onto side to face the blonde girl. "I guess I'll just be here this this Christmas."

"I thought that you still had to to go to that muggle place... what was it called?" Amara asked, slightly louder than before, making her sound groggy, Maeve thought it was cute.

"St. Edmunds." She gasped quietly, slapping her hands over her face.
"I forgot I had to go." Maeve groaned as she dragged her her hands down her face slowly, making her skin droop down with it.

"What? Is it bad there? Is someone bad there?" Amara, who practically jumped on top of the brunette and was now straddling just below her waist, pulling maeves hands from her face, forgetting that personal space was a real thing.

"Yes, it is bad there. Yes, the people there suck, and the fact that the lovely Remus Lupin will also be there."
Maeve would have hid her face in her hands but Amara was still holding them.

"I could go with you!" Amara said excitedly.

Maeve just looked at her friend patiently, waiting for her to notice that her plan wouldn't work.
Amara sighed in disappointment.

"Oh, and Mara?"

The blonde nodded.

"You know I'm not a horse. right?" Maeve smirked a laugh as Amara realised what she
meant, quickly pulling herself off of the girl.

"Sorry." She awkwardly laughed, standing next to her bed.

"I didn't mind, I just was wondering if you really believed that I was a horse." Maeve said, fighting to keep her tone serious.

"I don't..." Amara said in confusion.

"I was being sarcastic." Maeve's laugh soon was joined by Amara's.

"I just walked in on Lily and James snogging!" Peter wailed dramatically as he ran into the marauders dorm, dropping onto his bed.

"Didn't they break up?" Sirius asked with a confused look smeared on his face, sitting next Remus on his bed.

"Apparently not." Peter replied, his voice muffled and barely audible since his face was buried in his pillows.

Sirius shrugged it off, bored of James love life.

"But I thought Lily was a lesbian." Remus whispered to Sirius.

"Apparently not." Sirius whispered back, mocking Peter.

"Wait... if we're guys who like dick and Lily, Marlene and dorcas all like pussy, does that mean James is the only straight one of us?" Sirius laughed.

"I guess it's weird that 7 of the 8 of us turned out to be queer." Peter shrugged pulling himself up from his bed.

"6 of the 7 of us, you need to work on your maths wormtail." Remus chuckled, now flipping through Sirius records.

"No, Maeve, she likes girls and guys." Peter corrected.

The two went quiet for a moment, before Remus broke the silence.
"She's practically a Slytherin, she's not one of us."

"She was once, you can't ignore that. Besides who's fault is it that she had to go to regulus." Peter rolled his eyes, too tired of having the same argument.
"Besides, she's still the same girl we grew up with, and you'd know that if you didn't spend half your time just stalking her instead of having a conversation.
Not that she'd want to talk to you."

"Well if you like her so much why don't you leave, I mean, you start hanging out with her you can hang out with your straight crush Evan." Remus snarled.

"You know what? I just might." Peter sighed though the tears in his eyes.
"I just want to try to heal the wounds you both put in the marauders, and I know that Maeve isn't innocent, but at least she isn't the one rubbing salt into the wounds she caused.
Your not my friends, my friends would never be so hateful towards people who just want to help."

Remus watched as his friend walked out, guilt pouring into him.
Deep down he knew Peter was right, and he hated himself for not being able to admit it.
Honestly, Remus just hated himself that much that he didn't think he deserved his friends and that's he ruins everything subconsciously.

But Remus could never say that, what type of person throws away everything great in their life.
He was already a freak, a monster, a queer, he didn't need to add insane to the list.
