11. Bang bang bang bang- by Sohodolls

Maeve's pov

We made our way to three broomsticks and found a booth in the back of the room to fit only us five, so we'd have to move again.

When Lilly walked in James raced over to her and asked her something that I couldn't hear but I guess it was for them to sit together because they sat in a booth alone and Marlene and Docas did the same in another booth.

"That's weird." I look over at Lilly and James

Sirius shrugged.

Less then 5 minutes later Sirius got up

"I need the loo, Peter can you come with me?"

"Sure."

They walked out of the cafe to find the toilets.

"So, whata gonna get." I asked to break the silence

"Butter beer, do you want me to get you one." He replied

"I would actually love that, thanks."

"Okay I'll be back." He had an awfully large smile as he got up. In his place Barty sat down and Mulciber was standing a few meters away.

"So, Maeve I felt really bad about harassing you for so long and I know this doesn't fix it but I got you some chocolates as a small gift." Barty smiled

"Umm, thank you, but I thought you weren't allowed to talk to me." I hope I sounded polite

"Yeah Well my parents kind of hate me right now so it doesn't really matter." He sighs.
"Well, try one." He seem a little off but I didn't want to be rude so a plot one in mouth fake chewed it but didn't swallow.

"Yum thank you." The chocolate was small so I could talk with it in my mouth.

"So, would you want to hang out some time?"
That's when it hit me he was looking for a potion at Zonko's shop.

"I have a lot of homework, after that we could hang out." I smiled Trying to hide my discomfort.

"We'll see you then." He saw Remus heading over and left

"What was that about?" Remus placed the drink on the table and across from me in the booth.

I spat the chocolate back in the wrapper.

"He tried to give a love potion." I scrunched up my face in disgust as I put it in my pocket.

Remus was about to jump out his but I grabbed his wrist.

"let him think he won we'll get back at him later, but for now.. cheers."

"Cheers." He was clearly angry about Barty, but he did as I asked.

James POV

When Lilly walked in I raced over to her

"I'm setting Maeve and remus up, she thinks I'm asking you on a 'date' so can you sit with me so they're alone." I tried my best to be convincing.

"Fine, but this better not be a trick."

"It isn't I helped plan it." Dorcas budded in "Marly, come sit here." She motioned her to sit with her in another booth.

"I like your shirt." I pointed.

"Thanks it's a muggle band." She tugged her hair behind her ear and looked down at the ground.

"DID SHE JUST BLUSH! HOLY SHIT! I MADE LILLY FREAKING EVANS BLUSH!!!!"

"Yeah, I don't really know many, only the ones the Sirius has on record." I brushed it off to look cool but still showed interest as we sat down.

"Are you and Maeve close?" She asked

"Yep, I mean she's practically my sister." I added sister so she knows we're not a thing.

"Funny, she said the same thing this morning."

"I hope it was good context." I took a sip of my drink.

"She was just a little annoyed about me being friends with Severus and started listing how your so much better. Then I joked that she should ask you out since she likes so much, then she got all defensive like 'eww no, James and I are practically brother and sister.' It was kinda funny." She seemed pretty happy to be talking to me for once.

"What do you mean defensive?"

"I don't know, she just didn't want me say that I guess." Lilly shrugged.

I didn't really know what to think, like im not that bad lol.

Remus POV

We left the shop after we finished the butter beer to go for a walk up in the fields. I knew a nice spot with an massive apple tree on a hill where we could sit.

"I was reading this book that I think you'd like." She shuffles though her bag to find it.

"Cool, what's it about."

She pulls it out to read the blurb and starts walking again.

"Watership Down," Maeve reads "is the tale of a group of rabbits in search of a home. Fiver, a small, young rabbit, has a gift: He can tell when things are going to happen and he can sense whether they will be good or bad. Fiver foresees great danger to the rabbits' home warren. It's a bit more interesting than what it says and really think you'd like it."

"I'll give it a read, thanks." I grabbed the book gently letting our hands touch.

"No worries." She smiled.

We keep walking for a while and see lots of cows and sheep.

"Well this it, the Apple tree."

"Sick." She nods. Then starts to climb it.

"Wow what are you doing." I say concerned

"Climbing, to get two apples." She smiles.

"There's spell for that ya know!" I call out.

"Where's the fun in that." She laughs as she pulls her self up further.

I laugh as I look up at her.

"S'pose your right." I make my way up the tree faster than her, probably since I'm much taller.

I sit down on a large branch next to her after grabbing an apple.

"This is the best Apple I've ever eaten in my inter life." She stares at the Apple wide eyed.

"Maeve, you look like you just fell in love." I laugh.

She looks up at me

"I did." She proudly smiles

"Well, I did too." I softly spoke.

"But you didn't try the Apple yet." She looks at me confused.

"I know." I smirked. I didn't mean to it just happened.

"Huh"

"I think your just playing dumb."

"I'm not." She huffs.

"Fine, but remember, I can tell when you're lying." I whisperer closely.

A little smirk grows on her face that she try's to hide.

"Good for you then." She nods with a smile. The starts to climb down and jumps to the ground.

"We best go it'll be dark soon." She calls out

"Yeah. Yeah." I say to myself in defeat.

We walked back in silence but it wasn't awkward it was calm, that's one thing I really like about her. We could be in a room for hours and not talk but we still be spending time together, in way no one else could do with me.
