"One, two, three!"
I jumped into the air and transformed into my winged self. I flew around the school a few times before landing in front of the Beast statue. Why did I feel so alone? Why do I feel like I'm left with nothing?
"Why do I feel like this? Why do I feel this way?" I asked. "Where do I go? What do I say? All these things are happening at once. What do I do when everything is said and done?"
"When the time is right."
"When the time is right."
I looked at the Beast statue as I transformed. I flew to the top of the school, staring at the sky. "What will change? Will I change? What will happen to my destiny?" I smiled. "You know what?" I stomped my foot. "I will find myself, I will be myself. Fulfill what destiny's wrote for me. Embrace myself, relieve myself. Of all the burden I was supposed to be. And fulfill my destiny."
I jumped off the tower and transformed in midair. "I won't let anyone say, that I can't be away, from myself and be myself at the same time. I won't let anyone else say, that I can't be the same, person I was before." I paused. "I will find myself, I will be myself. Fulfill what destiny's wrote for me. Embrace myself, relieve myself. Of all the burden I was supposed to be. And fulfill my destiny. Fulfill my destiny. Fulfill my destiny. My destiny!"
I panted as I flew around the woods and heard a roar. I panicked and saw the four boys and a beast facing each other. There was another roar as I created a dark cloud, surrounding him. I noticed Jane as she sprayed water into the mist. I allowed it, hoping she had some sort of cure. I knew it was my best friend.
"Who is that?" Jay said breathlessly.
I landed behind a tree and turned back to normal. I ran up to Carlos and hugged him. He hugged me back in relief.
"What happened? What was that thing?" Carlos asked, gripping my shoulders.
"I'll explain later," I sighed, my eyes turning back to normal.
"Well, well, well. Harry Hook. And you, my little duckling, are... ravishing." Harry stared at me.
"Yeah, ravishing and taken. If anyone's confused," Carlos said, wrapping a protective arm around me.
"Hold on," Ben cut in. "Who's side are they on?"
"They escaped and joined us," Jay explained. "And Mal has the ember, which is our only hope to stop Audrey. Details to follow."
"Hades ember? Has Mal gone back to the Isle?" Ben questioned.
"I said details to follow. We're meeting with Mal, Evie, and Uma. Let's go," Jay said quickly.
"Uma?!" Ben questioned.
"Details to follow!" we yelled at him.
I heard a bark and perked up. Pluto jumped on me and I picked him up, hugging him. Carlos smiled. "He followed us when we found him on the edge of the courtyard."
"Hi, bud," I said.
"You have a dalmatian? Isn't that Carlos's thing?" Gil asked.
"Actually, I'm the adopted daughter of Roger and Anita Radcliffe, the people who had taken care of the one hundred and one dalmatians," I explained. "And recently, I found out my actual parents are Madame Medusa and Chernabog."
We found the clearing, and I turned around. I then turned toward the house and jumped, turning into my other side. Carlos yelled, surprised, as I flew a few feet and touched my feet back on the ground. I changed back as Mal ran outside to hug Ben.
"Found yourself, huh?" Carlos smiled.
"Yeah, I did," I said.
"I'd known you'd be part of the solution," Ben said, looking at Uma.
"Okay, we think Audrey may be at Fairy Cottage, and we have no idea where it is. Did she ever take you there?" Mal asked Ben.
"Every Fairy Godmother's day," Ben sighed. He turned to Jane. "Where is Fairy Godmother when you need her?"
"I wish I knew," Jane said sadly.
"Doug, go with Jane. Find Fairy Godmother," Ben said.
"They might need some muscle," Uma said, grabbing Ben's arm to get his attention.
"I'll go," Gil volunteered, looking at his muscles.
"Yeah, actually, I'd feel better," Evie agreed.
"Actually, I would too," Doug admitted.
Gil brushed him with a smile and walked off with the two.
