Chapter 32

Ashlyn's POV

"Mia, so, if you have come back to the past nine times. Then you must have known my real living and life. Am I right? I just want to make things clear thus I can tell you more if what you learned about me is lacking." Dad and I came back to the lounging couch we sat. "Well, I have understood everything since my first life. You're not my birth father, you're my uncle. My mother was your older stepsister. You lost your real daughter when your wife gave birth. After that, when you come back to see your wife. She decided to divorce you because she wanted peace and silence. Not what your job does. Killing. I'm sorry I still have to say this. Pa, I know you have been moving on." Dad just shrugged. "It's all right, it has been several years after all." He said. "Let's go upstairs I want to announce you to all those bunches of fools. Hahaha." We both laugh. Dad always puts names on his comrades. Before dad can stand. I remembered something.

Dad is entirely calm the whole time. I know he's faking it. Deep inside he's troubled. My sudden appearance and all. However to end my responsibilities I need to this. Someday I hope my choice will be good for everyone. My choice will hurt them, I know, but to me, it will set me free.

"Wait, dad, I have something to asked. Since my first life I want to know does my mother left something about our family's curse? I didn't have the chance to ask you in my first life to add to that I have forgotten about it. My series of reincarnation is my misery and my curse." Dad's face saddened. I was cursed and my reincarnations are my curse. I want to know how to end this cycle. My wanting to die peacefully is increasing day by day. I don't want to hope anymore but I need to. "There is." He shortly said. He then walks towards an illustration of myself when I was young. He pushes the small edge of where my blue eyes look so realistic. The whole painting instantly opened. Revealing a stack of letters, a stack of books, and a painting. Must be my mother though I can't see it because an item of clothing is concealing it. I don't want to see what she looks like. Not because I'm grieving to hardly meeting her. Because I know someday I'll be able to be with her.

"Here, Odelyn has a diary that I can't open. Maybe this can help. When your mother died she just said she has a happy family with her children and husband. The truth is your mom and I separated our paths when she was 16 and I was 19. That's also the reason why I don't know your mother's husband which is your father. You know your mother wanted me to be his younger brother though I was older than her. That's why since then I have gotten to the flow and called her 'Sister' or 'Older Sister'." He snickers. I saw how he seems to recall his past with my mother. "Now, now, dad, let's go. You're being too dramatic again. To add that, I already know about the older sister thing, you sly man." I chuckled and took the diary so was dad closed the secret apartment. The diary was in my pocket as I made it into a small object. He holds my little hand as we walk upstairs to the pub. We got up to see many of them jaw dropped. Papa and I got nearer to the center where everyone can see so are the people from upstairs.

"Kids, I want to introduce you to someone. This is my daughter Mia Adamos. Her current name now is Mia Ashlyn De Alegro. She is the adoptive daughter of the honorable family of this empire. De Alegro clan." His smirk didn't lose as he was announcing me. Everyone was surprised. Who wouldn't? An adoptive esteemed daughter of the most terrified family is standing right in front of them. "Master, how can you have another daughter? Your daughter is already dead." One was hesitant to bring that subject up yet I know they are wondering. "Let me rephrase what my dad said. I'm his niece who he raised like his own daughter. I'm the daughter of Odelyn Adamos." I said with whole leverage. "Now, tell us what do you need from us? Some of us will see this as a debt to pay since your mother aided us before." A deep voice said. There was a group that jumps down from the second floor.

"Let me see, uhmm." I hummed as I got walk closer to them. "Kaiser, Jay, Allec, Connor, Mateo, Aquilla, Ryker, and Falcon. Remaining people from the Forsaken tribe." About that this group was also the people who were following me when I got here. Haha, they are now fiery inflaming. No one dares to speak that tribe. It was long forgotten by many people especially the people from that tribe. That tribe was called the 'Forsaken'; Their tribe was a group of citizens that sacrifices people to the devil. So that the devil will grant their wish every month. They go against the Goddess Farrah hundreds of years ago. They force the Goddess to bless their tribe. It was the time when the goddess was still a Saintess. The goddess did not satisfy the tribe by not fulfilling what they wanted. Apart from that, a sacrificial ceremony was about to start when Kaiser, Jay, Allec, Connor, Mateo, Aquilla, Ryker, and Falcon made a massacre. Killing all of their ancestors and all who deliberately participate in every slaughtering. No one survived except for the eight. All the tribespeople were only loyal to the devil they gave the sacrifices to. That is how the tribe is forgotten. Cruel you may think. Although for them it's something others should have done in the first place. If I was them I suppose I also have done the same thing.

"Why do you know about our place?" Connor was readying his steel. So are Mateo, Ryker, and Kaiser. "Do you think because you are showing your weaponry you can fright me? Do you think I'll not fight? I am not like your tribe. Weak." My questions and words are in sync making them more upset. I'm doing this for a reason. "Watch your mouth, kid. I don't care if your Odelyn's child or Hunter's daughter." Falcon pointedly spoke. Dad is watching at the corner, sitting. I have told him my plan when we were in his room at the underground. Though he has faith in me his eyes can't hide the fact that he's worried. Don't worry dad, I smiled as I looked at him. "Why can't you face the past?" I ask. "Fuck, this girl has crossed the line." Allec ragingly yelp. "Fight me then," Challenging them till their patient runs out. "Times up, we have given you a chance to stop talking shit." Jay is gloomy while saying his words. Falcon, Jay, and Allec are showing their magic to me. Signaling the others should fight as well. Only Aquilla stayed silent. He is still traumatized by the mass murder they did. Of all eight of them, Aquilla has the weakest heart. He is well aware that he is too kind. Traumatizing even in his sleep. Aquilla was then diagnosed that he has insomnia.

In an instant, they attacked me. People here are focused on the events that are taking place ahead of them. Don't worry this pub will not shatter into pieces. Since this was built whether an assassination or an attack occurs. Dad put a spell on the whole area. Thus the upper area will not be damaged so is the lower area, of course. Simultaneously, they all stormed at me with fuming anger in their hearts. Until now, they can't forgive themselves for what they did. And I want to help them get through it. That's why I'm doing this. I know my actions are foolish. Although this is the only thing I think that can help them. All of them are caged from the past. I'm doing this the hard way. Their hearts have hardened, they won't listen to me whether it's about their pack or anything related to it. Believe me, I have tried this before in my first life.

As their magic and weapons touch me. I whispered one of the incantations I made plus learn before. All lights that were ignited in this house suddenly die. Everyone was alarm. But then a dim of light came to me. Feeling their stares on me. I cast a memoir protection spell onto those who attack me. The group was in a daze except for dad, the people in here, and Aquilla. Soon, I walk near him. Aquilla notices me, at some reason he automatically knelt. I took hold of his hand. And hand-kissed it. This will help him get rid of his nightmares while he sleeps. Putting a spell on them consequently getting rid of their incubuses.

The lights then reappeared. "Now, how do you feel?" I ask. "How can you, a mere child do this? The pain along with the weighty feeling disappeared." Aquilla amusingly spoke softly. I gave a small smile. "Your right, everything we have felt since the massacre vanished." The others commented. "I sense the light feeling flowing into my body. Thank... Thank you." Mateo thanked me. "Learn to face along with overlook the past. Together with accepting it. Obtain what's the result from several years ago and it will gift you the forgiveness of before." I state. "In return, what can we give you? For presenting us this." Falcon softly asks. "Loyalty," I just sighed. I can see the amusement in their expression. "Oh, may you excuse me, I need to go back now. Pa, I'll be back after a couple of days or so. Farewell." I said as I waved. Summoning a teleportation circle.

Inside of me, my smile got even bigger yet I didn't make it noticeable from the outside. All of them knelt saying they will be loyal to me and if the day came plus they betray me. They will kill themselves right in front of me. Dad was crying. I felt what he felt. A very short moment to become a memoir I won't forget following my other plans that will start. This time I will lose but I will never give them the last laugh.
