Chapter 5

Sawyer

It's been a day since Mitch asked me out and I still haven't told Alyssa or Irish princess. Yes I know what a horrible friend but I have valid reasons.

First off she scares me sometimes with her momma bear instincts. She can be a little overprotective sometimes and I just know she will not allow me to leave the house until she meets him. Not to mention she will try to style me in her clothes which makes me look like an Irish prostitute.

Irish princess on the other hand will just make fun of me because of what he likes to call my "dry spell." TMI I know but he ain't wrong. After my breakup sophomore year of undergraduate I have been hopeless and untouched. Literally.

My fuck face of an ex really did a number on me with the whole cheating and yeah know casual lying about having depression. That's a story for another time however.

Back to my "dry spell" and momma bear situation. I really just need to get over myself and tell them after they get home from work at the pub. Okay I have about an hour to mentally prepare myself for this conversion. Time to go watch Twilight again.

"Sawyer! Niall and I are home from work. Where are you?"

Oh.God. Here we go.

"I'm just in my room. You both come here real quick."

Calm the fuck down it's not like they're your parents or anything. They are your two best friends and they won't say anything.

"What's up Sawyer? Something wrong?"

"Oh um no actually I have something to tell both of you actually and I don't want you to freak out or anything because I know it's unlike me but-"

"Omg spit it out Sawyer it's just Alyssa and I."

Here goes nothing.

"I may or may not have a date with a guy from the record store I went to the other day."

I think I broke them. Niall and Alyssa have just been staring at me speechless. This is going so great for me.

"Are you going to say anything orrrr?"

"Sorry Sawyer Nicks you can't just drop a bomb like this on Niall and I and expect us to have words right away! I gotta say though I'm proud you actually said yes."

This is new, normally momma bear mode is activated instantly.

"Wait where did you meet him again? How do you know he isn't some weirdo?"

Spoke too soon I guess.

"Alyssa there is no need to worry because Artie and Spencer know him too."

"And who are Artie and Spencer may I ask?"

"Too many questions being asked. Long story that takes too much energy to explain. But just know that I'm safe and he is genuinely really sweet."

Threat hopefully neutralized.

Finally after processing all this information Niall chuckles to himself.

"I can't believe you are getting out of your dry spell."

"You complete and utter asshole. Leave my room right now before I throw a book at your head. I have reading to do before bed."

"By reading do you mean criminal minds fan fiction? Oh how you pine to eiffel tower Hotch and Reid."

"Niall James Horan I swear to god I will cut off your dick if you don't shut up."

"Okay okay we'll leave you to read your exotic material."

The sad part is he's not wrong. Embarrassing but yeah know what at least I read. Yes, it may just be pure smut but you can't blame a girl.
