The room was average. It had a twin bed, a dresser, and a desk. One thing that stood out to me was the punching bag. I'll make sure to ask Natasha about that later. "Your clothes will come tomorrow. So you're going to have to sleep in your clothes for tonight." Natasha said. "Try and make yourself at home." She said as she quietly closed the door.

Yeah right, because I had a choice.

"Thanks," I mumbled. I sat on the bed and felt the sheets. They were oddly soft as I trailed my hand down them. I flopped down onto the bed, which didn't feel as comfortable as the sheets. After examining the bed, I looked at the desk which had 3 textbooks and 1 normal book. Science, Chemistry, Math, and a book called Jim the Boy. Even when I was stuck in a government building, they still found a way to give me homework. I picked up the Jim the Boy book, which looked like it was made in the '50s, just like all other classic teachers force me to read.

Knock knock. I opened the door to meet yet another unfamiliar face. A handsome man stood in front of me, with his blue eyes and brown hair, he couldn't compare to Brendon. I tried to not smile, but it was slowly slipping onto my face. "Hello Kaitlyn, I never got a chance to formally introduce myself. I'm Steve Rodgers." He held his hand out, that's when the side of my lip twitched.

For the first time, I shook someone else's hand. "Hi, my name is Kaitl—. Oh, wait I guess you already knew it. Ha-ha. Sorry, am I shaking your hand for too long? I feel like this is too long. Sorry, I think I'll stop talking now." I blushed stupidly. He began to laugh while I died inside. Judging by his looks, this guy was probably at least 20 years older than me.

As if he read my mind, he said, "I think I might be out of your league, I'm 106." My jaw dropped and began to laugh even more.

"You're kidding."

"No, I'm not. Here at S.H.E.I.L.D, we all got our own weird stuff going on."

I sighed. "Yeah." Still trying to get over the 106 years old thing.

Steve put his hand on my shoulder, which made me jump. "Don't worry. Your safe by probably one of the most powerful teams in the world. The Avengers protect people, it's kind of our job." Wait, these are the Avengers? The same people from 5 years ago? I knew these people were different, but I didn't know they were the Avengers!

Now that I'm putting all the pieces together, Mr. Stark is Iron Man! That's why he was so familiar! The man I had admired was the same man who told me to stop whining at my most sensitive moment. Remembering Natasha's red hair, she must've been Black Widow. But I still could quite place who Steve was.

"You alright there Kaitlyn? You look a little green."

"I'm fine." I lied. I just found out that the Avengers had taken me because I was some powerful alien thing and I would never see my family or friends for whoever knows long.

Definitely fine.

"I think you should get some rest. Sleep is universal antidote to...mostly every sickness." He chuckled.

I nodded. He waved goodbye and closed the door. I followed his instructions, collapsing onto the bed and thinking about this entire crazy day until I fell asleep.

"How was it?" a familiar voice said. My eyes flew open to see the woman in my dreams staring at me. Except for this time, she was in my room.

"Who are you?" I yelled demandingly.

She just smiled warmly and shook her head. "Poor Palutena, you had just found out your power." Who was Palutena?

"My name is Kaitlyn. Not Palutena." The woman scoffed. "Kaitlyn, what a human-like name. Can't you see honey? They poisoned you with this knowledge of you being some girl with...what do the humans call it? Abilities? No, you have power."

My breathing quickened. I attempted to get up and get help, but my body was bolted down. "What are you talking about?"

The woman looked up at the ceiling in thought. "Maybe you just need an example of your power."

Suddenly, I was transported into a new place. My arm was outstretched, against my will. I looked ahead of me, and I see a man a silhouette of a man in front of me. His body was on the ground, he looked like he was struggling to stand up, but every time he attempted to, an invisible force knocked him down.

Wait a minute. It was the iron man suit.

Then I realized, it was me. I was the one holding him down.

I attempted to stop whatever sorcery I was creating, but my arm was stuck, exerting the invisible force onto his body. No matter how hard I struggled, I couldn't stop. But it started to feel good. Knowing that I have the power to keep him down, no matter how long I wanted to, the power was satisfying.

Then the force became too great, the Iron man mask, shielding his face burst off, revealing the face of Tony Stark. His face was red, and he cringed. "Help. Me." He pleaded. He reached his arm out at me, begging.

What was I doing? Why was I enjoying this? Using the power that remained over me, I used my free arm to grab my other. I tugged and tugged on it, but it was no use. I started to cry as blood started to pour out of his eyes. He continued to be slowly crushed by an invisible force I created. I had never seen anything so horrible in my life, I just wanted it to end.

"Now don't you enjoy that? The feeling of dominance? Control?" The woman said though she was nowhere around me. Her voice echoed around me.

"Please!" I yelled. "Make it stop!" Then, Mr. Stark's body faded, along with my surroundings. I left the void and was transported back into my room. Someone began to shake my arm and I pressed my back up against the wall, scurrying away.

"Hey! Hey! Relax...relax." Natasha soothed. "You're okay..."

No, I'm not. I'm insane. For the thousandth time this week, I sobbed.
