[ 11 ] Kenma x FTM Reader "Soulmate"

Soulmate AU - when you draw on your arm your soulmate also get's it drawn on them.

Kenma knew he had a soulmate. A soulmate who knew how to draw all his favorite characters.

They had made a system to tell each other how their day was by drawing on each other's arms. Kenma preferred this to writing on his arm and talking to his soulmate that way. The last thing he wanted was to be like that kid from last week in class where the teacher read everything on that kid's arm. He looked embarrassed and Kenma didn't want that to happen to him.

It was fun figuring out how his soulmate's day was just by drawing. They were getting really good, and he learned more about his soulmate this way.

Kenma found out that his soulmate was into games, they weren't obsessed like he was but they were into games which made him happy. He also found out basic things like their favorite color was F/C / or all the colors (for you indecisive people), their favorite food was F/F and all that basic stuff. But what the biggest mystery to Kenma was his soulmate's gender.

Kenma didn't care about what gender their soulmate was he was just curious. But whenever he asked his soulmate would just draw an x signaling they were uncomfortable with the question.

Sure that was a few years ago now but he was too afraid of making his soulmate uncomfortable now especially since he got so attached. Getting attached to your soulmate was something Kenma thought would never happen to him. Especially after seeing how lovesick Kurro was with his soulmate. It's something Kenma hopes Kurro never finds out about.

Y/n on the other had mixed feelings about his soulmate. He worries that his soulmate might care a lot about gender and it's always on his mind how his soulmate used to ask about his gender and it changed from back then to now. At first, the reason to not share his gender was that he was questioning himself and wondering if being a girl is what he is. Y/n is happy now to have that cleared up but he's read and seen a lot of soulmate fails on social media where soulmates meet but they end up being the same gender and one of them rejects the other.

Y/n knows Kenma's gender and Kenma is older, just by a year though. "Hey, Y/n! Wanna play volleyball with me before we leave for Tokyo!"

Y/n looks at his really short friend Hinata, "Sure Shoyo I don't mind." Both Y/n and Shoyo had been friends for a very long time, most believe they are brothers because they act like it. The two of them start playing volleyball, Y/n was Shoyo's first setter and Hinata was the reason Y/n played volleyball, to begin with.

"Hey, Y/n," Shoyo says after spiking the ball and Y/n runs after it.

"What is it Shoyo?"

"Do you ever miss setting to me at school? Or setting in general?"

"But I do set to you."

"No," Hinata stands there as the ball falls before facing Y/n, "Like do you miss the games, standing in the court with me and setting to me?"

Y/n had mixed feelings because yes he missed it, way more than he would like to admit but Kageyama will pave Karasuno's way to victory. Plus they had Suga as well, a way better setter than Y/n because of experience. Y/n walks over and picks up the ball again, "Well sure I do. But Kageyama is so much better than me." Y/n starts to think about their last year in middle school where he started to like being Shoyo's setter.

"Stop thinking like that!" Hinata yells.

This makes Y/n surprised seeing as Hinata has never yelled at Y/n before, "Sure Kageyama's got talent and he's like a genius on the court but you! You have so much going for you! You're smart on and off-court, you can analyze your opponents and pick them apart as they are some sort of machine. You can see where a person fails and exploit it! You've done it to Kageyama and his entire school before! You just don't show that at Karasuno and I want to know why!"
